While some may say that Dr. Yam's staff and service have changed since moving to the new office, I would strongly disagree with these comments. Dr. Yam takes wonderful care of my family and I. Whenever I have a question Dr. Yam takes time out of her day to ensure that my question is given the best possible answer. I am fortunate to have found her and have her as my family doctor.

Ive been a patient of Dr Yam for almost 20 years and overall she has always been very thorough and I always thought she genuinely cared about my health. Call backs are done when I leave a message and with covid, the phone consults were convenient.

My kids and I have been a patient of Dr. Yam for years. I've been seeing her for more than 16 years. She is always patient and listens to all my concerns. And she almost always book a follow up consult with me to see how the treatment for my child is going. She is very caring and is genuinely interested in the health of her patients. She is also a member of the Access 365 clinic and I have had to use that service many times because my kids never get sick during regular business hours, right? And when I follow up to see her again afterwards, it is clear that she has also reviewed our chart from the Access 365 clinic in considering treatment. She is always punctual. The longest I have ever waited was 30 minutes and I can only recall one time waiting that long. Usually, we're in to see her within 10 minutes of my appointment time (pre-covid). During covid, she is right on time.

Dr. Yam is a very good doctor, she treats me well and is always up to speed on everything that has or is happening to me (if it relates to her job.) I would highly recommend Dr. Yam

After many years as a patient with Dr. Yam, I finally have had enough of her unpredictable, moody and rude behaviour. I am switching to a much kinder, more professional and knowledgeable doctor in a different practice. Dr. Yam was always threatening if you don't take care of your health, but when the results are good, she acts like you somehow cheated on your blood test! Terrible attitude and not at all collaborative. Very narcissistic and arrogant, and not kind to her staff. The staff are scared of her, and the wife of the other Dr. Yam is always hanging around insulting the receptionists. Very awkward to have to witness that behaviour in the waiting room. The morale is so low, I used to come out feeling worse than before the appointment. Good riddance.

I been Dr Yam’s patient over 17 years. I loved her at the Edgemont location. I felt she was caring, knowledgeable and staff was amazing. Since moving to new location things have been downhill. Staff communication is poor, I don’t feel she is as thorough with her assessment as she was use to be. I am sad but have to look for new doctor.

Since moving to the new office things have gone downhill. Most of the new staff are rude and unhelpful, there is 1 who is kind and helpful but I don’t see her there very often. Being a patient of Dr. Yam for over 20 years it’s sad to see how bad it is now. The wait times to not only get an appointment but to then get into a room when you are there are awful. I’m constantly referred to the after hours clinic for things that I should be seeing her for. Also they say they answer phones all day however I have noticed since moving to the new clinic that they actually put the phones straight to voicemail for around a hour everyday, I’m assuming for lunch. If that’s the case they should be making patients aware they are doing that, not letting patients think they are answering all day.

I have to agree on one of the comments before on the move, new staff, and Dr Yam herself. The change. It use to run so smoothly and we are taken care of well. Now...it's not as good. I've been with her for many years. Getting to know the new staff and all the new things that is going on behind the scene that wasn't like that before when they were at the old location. When she runs behind, she seems angry...and it's hard to talk to her as she is trying to rush my visit and my time isn't taken care of so my concerns for seeing her isn't there too much. My kids misses the old staff there before , they've gotten use familiar faces ever time they went into the clinic. They eased my kids from being scared of the doctors! So I am thankful for them when they were around.. Dr Yam is an okay Doctor, could be better but for now, she's quite good and what she has done in the past! So thank you for the good times before!

I was a patient of Dr. Vincy Yam for about 12 years. I have a chronic condition and had to see Dr Yam frequently and often had to see her without waiting a week for an appointment. Dr. Yam was always thorough, very encouraging and reassuring and never made me feel like I was taking up too much of her time. If I had an emergency, she always made time for me and I always felt I was in very knowledgeable and competent hands. I moved out of Alberta and have had to find a new doctor. I have not yet found someone as caring or as thorough as Dr. Yam.
