I tried to become a patient. I had one visit. Nothing went wrong at the visit. I tried calling over and over again and no answer. I left messages and no phone was returned. I tried for just about two week and decided this was not a good fit. I hope the doctor knows that his staff is incapable of providing him the support he needs to keep his patients happy. I would hate to think I really needed him for something important.. dear Dr Stagias, I hope you can improve your office staff and I would love to be a patient of yours….

No one answers the phone or returns calls. I was required to schedule a $450 (out of pocket) appointment to get my test results when Dr. Stagias himself did the test. Sorting out prescriptions with them and the insurance company is a nightmare because they refuse to make the calls directly, and without the knowledge needed to ask the right question, I spent days playing go-between until I finally gave up. Maybe Dr. Stagias (and Diana Slawniak) are wonderful practitioners, but in all of the frustration of repeated calls and the condescending tone I get when I finally talk to a real person, it's almost impossible to say.

I have been seeing Dr. John Stagais for 17 years for Ulcerative Colitis and he is wonderful. He and his nurse are very caring and my health is very important to them. I am extremely happy to have him as my doctor.

Stagis and his nurse don't care for their patience one bit. Their conclusions are absurd and hastily met, and the only real objective is to see your money. No patient concern. If you find your self needing someone to lean on and trust, you wont find it here. do yourself the favor and drive to Worcester.

Stagias and his PA are smart people and can help you. Definately go to see them! Dr. T.K. Thomas, however, who is also in Southbridge is a total joke. Go to Stagias instead. Thomas told me I had IBS and there was nothing else anyone could do. He even told me IBS meds didnt exist! After seeing Stagias, it turns out I am lactose intelorant and do not have IBS as proved by bloodwork.
