Dr. Tait is an amazing surgeon. I had two hip replacements which were tricky to do because of some orthopedic challenges of my hip (very shallow hip joints), and he did a perfect job, using conformis joints. Not only is he an expert at what he does, his personal manner is wonderful, able to inspire confidence in his patients. I highly recommend him, especially if your case is more difficult than the usual. His staff is also so courteous and helpful/polite.

Worst decision I ever made was to have Tait replace my knee.

Dr. Robert J. Tait's response
We are always sorry to hear when a patient is dissatisfied with the level of care they have received. As there is no indication what the problem is specifically, we have no way of knowing how to address these concerns. We ask that any patient with concerns reach out to our office directly for support.

Warning. Dr. Tait intentionally harmed me. He decided to put a HIP SPACER inside my shoulder, and he forced me to keep it in my body for more than a year. It caused a lot of damage and caused me to endure horrible pain and suffering. You should see the photos. I still have a lot of pain and limited use of my left shoulder. Other doctors have told me the only option is amputation. Do not let Dr. Tait experiment on you. Go to a better orthopedic surgeon.

On 12/21/2017 I was referred to Dr. Robert Tait by another Orthopedic surgeon because of pain in both knees that had been replaced. Dr. Tait requested me to get blood work done and to get clearance from a cardiologist for possible surgery. On 3/20/2018 I signed on to Dr. Tait's sign in sheet at 10:20 AM for a 10:30 appointment. I noticed about 4 patients being called in and when they came out they stopped at Dr. Tait's reception desk and talked to the receptionest like they were making future appointments. About 4 new paients came in and signed into Dr. Tait's sign in sheet. These same patients were also called in and when they came out, they too stopped at Dr. Tait's reception desk and appeared to be making future appointments. At 11:00 AM I looked around the waiting and noticed now that there was no one in the waiting room that had come in before me. I went up to the receptionist and asked what was going on. She said what do you mean. I said patients that came after me had been called in and came out and I have been here for 40 minutes. She said let me check. She said there were 5 more patients in front of you. I said that's impossible. I'll be here for another hour. I asked if there was a charge if I cancelled my appointment. She said do you have a co-payment. I said no. She said there is no charge. I cancelled. The following day I called and left a message for new appointments and said I want to talk to someone about a complaint. When no one called back, I called back 2 days later and was connected to a Mr. Rod Hoer's phone and left another message. Mr. Hoer called me I believe it was the following Monday. I told him about my complaint and he said he would look into it and asked me if I wanted to make another appointment. I told him not at this time. I believe it was this day or a day later a lady called and said you left a message about a complaint. I said I already talked to someone about it. She said OK and hung up. She did not say if Mr. Hoer asked her to contact me or not. To this day no one has contacted me for a reasonable explanation about my appoinment day fiasco.

Dr Tait performed a total knee replacement on my left knee. His bed side manor is second to none. His staff is courteous & knowledgeable. The hospital he works out of, St Rose is of the same high standard he and his staff uphold. Dr Tait has never left me waiting in the waiting room, as Doctors often do these days. There have been a few times he was called away to emergency surgery, but his staff has always called to inform me & reschedule an appointment.

I have met many others that have had botched knee replacements and have horror stories. Some have told me they cannot see Dr Tait, as he is not on their insurance. My response is always the same. I pay extra for a PPO just so I can see Dr Tait. While I do pay a higher premium, I believe he is worth every penny! You get what you pay for! I had 5 ACL reconstructions through the years and was referred to Dr Tait by Dr Ronald Koe. I was in my early forties when I had the knee replacement (which I put off having for @ 10 years) I am able to do things I haven't been able to do in years! Dr Tait prescribed physical therapy based on my needs. He treated me and not my insurance. Dr Tait is a phenomenal Doctor. His team is competent & knowledgeable & his staff is kind and efficient. If you find yourself needing an Othopedic Dr you will not find better than Dr Tait in Southern Nevada.

He's conservative in his approach, using surgery as a last means. He's kept me going for 8 yrs without surgery, but with no cartilage left I trust his surgical skill.
