This guy somehow was on a VA list of approved surgeons for me to pick from when I elected to have surgery through community care program rather than at the VA Hosp. in Palo Alto.
Absolute worst mistake I could have made in terms of picking him to treat me.
Its a long story, but I will tell you this guy deceived me, and defrauded the VA.
I had brought to him the procedure which VA Chief of Surgery recommended, of which he arrogantly shrugged off, and gave me assurances he could do the same thing ( laminectomy / foraminotomy ) in one procedure minus the hardware. ( in the presence of my wife )
Had the surgery done April 27 2022, and it was at that point the 7 month twilight zone episode began.
He and his incompetent staff Davis Opeda ( nurse practitioner ) and ( passive aggressive office mgr ) " Diana " initially told me they would send all scripts via VA system, which they did not, and refused to follow VA instructions, which in turn cost me ove $ 1,200 in out of pocket expenses for meds.
Throughout the course of the "healing" process my pain continued to increase and at each office visit I would plead whith this Dr to help me understand why and get nothing in return but a cold dead stare.
Finally after 5 months of this I went to my VA Dr in Modesto, shared all that had been happening, and also told her he wanted to turn me over to his pain clinic, and that I told him I thought I needed to have a fresh MRI done first. His reaction to that was " oh no, not needed, it will just show what he had done "
This raised some flags for VA, and I was in Palo Alto having an MRI the following week, to no suprise proved he had blown off half the agreed upon procedure,,,VA surgeon called me right away and broke down everything I needed to know.
So now I am awaiting another surgery.
This guy and his staff truly caused me undue pain and suffering, violated my trust and as I said fraud, for which he will have to answer.
There are multiple entities beyond an attorney to which he will have some explaining to do.
My last words to this guy were, I need to try and make sure this dosent happen to another vet
