Excellent surgeon but like most surgeons somewhat arrogant and indifferent. Please note I have seen Dr. Keppler twice and I am a health care professional.

Dr Keppler is an amazing doctor, and one of just a few that performs Piriformis Release. I cannot thank this amazing doctor enough, for doing what very few doctors are willing to do!
My husband and I traveled 3 1/2 hours to have this procedure done by him. I personally have not had a life for the past 5 years, living with this pain that is relentless 24/7 and nonstop.
Dr Keppler, you are a true blessing to those of us that suffer with this condition that very few doctors are willing to explore.
You, and your entire office, and OR staff are amazing, and kind beyond words.
I cannot thank you enough. Anyone that is fortunate enough to search and find you is truly blessed.
May God bless you for the life you are giving back to those of us suffering from this terrible condition.

I had a piriformis muscle release surgery with Dr. Keppler. I woke up in the recovery room screaming mad with pain. I ended up with a blood leaking incision, a hematoma and a doctor that kept extending my healing time. At 8 months he finally said he wanted to put me in pain management and refused to do any tests on me until I was one year post op. Now, more than a year and a half later I am healing from my 4th surgery to fix all the damaged that was done. I had 4 damaged peripheral nerves that was completely cut through during my release surgery. I found the surgeon that perfected the surgery for piriformis syndrome by removing the muscle, yes I can move, its just a 1" by 2" assist muscle.
The sad part is, he is a hip doctor and should have known I had nerve damage. But he doesn't know anything about nerves which means he should have not told me he does successful piriformis release surgeries. I have researched this condition for 9 years and never found one person completely healed from a release. My PCP was very upset that Dr. Keppler didn't tell the truth in his office notes. He kept saying I was better, when in fact I wasn't . I only saw Keppler a few times in which he never laid a hand on me. His PA took case of me instead, when I had all the incision issues and when I went back for follow up. I was basically pushed aside as a failure and forgotten about. I called and told him I got the muscle out and told them to stop doing the release surgery. But then today, I saw in a blog, he is going to attempt it with someone else. I am in shock because I spoke to his PA.

Total knee replacement in 2013. Did my Mother's in 2001. Both were excellent. Custom fit my right knee for my demands and usage. Will be back for the left soon. Excellent staff.

Had an ACL and Meniscus repair. Was able to get an appointment within a week, had surgery about a month after the first appointment, 2 weeks after the MRI. Dr. Keppler and Roman were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made me feel like I could ask them anything and they'd give me an honest answer. He explained my options to me and then told me what he recommended. He asked me what I did for a living and what my hobbies were so he could tailor his treatment to my lifestyle. I followed his recommendations and he performed my surgeries. Recovery has been great and I'm very happy with how everything turned out. He recommended a knee brace due to some of hobbies (skiing, soccer). My insurance company denied the claim for a knee brace, but Dr. Keppler called the company personally to explain why he thought I needed a brace, and they later approved the claim. My brother-in-law had the exact same experience with Dr. Keppler, which is why I went to him in the first place.

My pain was off the charts, nothing was working. It was sheer hell for 3 yrs. before I found Dr. Keppler. I lost my job, my family had to care for me. I could barely walk.He and his assistant, Roman are smart, insightful and very capable. I had a 7 hr.long, very complicated surgery.I'm lucky to be walking. A year and a half later I'm off the drugs. My pain limit is 0-3. I'm walking normally, doing light excercise. I found a certified acupuncturist to help with withdrawal and the little pain I still have. From Hydrmorphone to Advi. I'm getting a life again. Love you Dr. Keppler and Roman.
