Residual effects of surgery he performed were ignored and life threatening. Was begged for months by visiting nurses and berated then for tell him his job, Run or walk away from this doctor before you can no longer do either.

I had knee replacement from this man over 4 years ago. When through a horrible time. Did over a year of p.t. and my leg is still messed up. I almost lost my foot because of his neglect. Even the visiting nurses were shocked. From the surgery, to the allowance of mistreatment at Wayne Memorial thru the recovery he didn't care. Everyone else I know that had knee replacement was up and out in one day. I laid in bed for over 26 hours after the surgery and was in the hospital for 4 days. Want a real dr.? Go to Dr. Gillett in Honesdale!

In early May, my dad went to Dr. Caucci to get x-rays due to a sore knee. Appointment went great and he got a cortisone shot. The last few days my dad has been experiencing pain in his other knee. I called and the receptionist/front desk clerk told me that Dr. Caucci was out of the office for a few WEEKS. Again, my dad is in pain, so I ask if he can see the other Dr. and she told me that they do not "flip-flop." That's not acceptable. They are there to HELP their patients, they are not there to say, for example, "sorry, you saw Dr. Caucci the first time, I'm going to make you suffer until he's back in the office and not help you." Very unprofessional. And the woman who answered the phone is always unfriendly and unsympathetic.

Kept telling me to wait, the post surgery pain and numbness would go away in about a year. A year later he said that if it wasn't better by then it never would be. 3 years later and I can't walk without pain. Ruined my quality of life.

Completely uninterested in providing proper surgery after-care and acknowledging or dealing with the negative results of the surgery he performed. He seemed more concerned with having his incompetent "cheer-leader" assistant (who jumped in every time he started to talk) following him around and praising him like a puppy.

I am a 49 year old male, Dr. Caucci did a total right knee replacement on me. He is a very professional man, was very caring, and I think did a fantastic job on me. I would highly recomend him to anyone. Wayne Memorial is lucky to have him!!

Unless you have an early morning appointment, you are guaranteed to be sitting there for hours. Sometimes Dr. Caucci can come off as harsh, but he does know what he is talking about. Depending on the diagnosis, he can usually list some options and give you some ideas on what each would entail and how it might help/hurt you. Appointments can be hard to get and he is NEVER on time. But he is a good ortho.
