When I was a child he put me on ritalin and 2 different antidepressants. He assumed that not only was a hyperactive but depressed as well. I was 9 when I first saw him he did not do any check up nor any assessments before he wrote the prescriptions. I also had to go for frequent blood tests. I looked like I had track marks on my arms. I hated him! I was, nor have I ever been, hyperactive and I have never been clinically depressed. I don't remember a whole lot between the ages of 9 and 13. I was 13 when I took myself off the meds, I was happier and I wasn't a zombie anymore! I was told months ago that he had lost his license to practice, I was glad. You can imagine my horror when I was told today (March 15, 2012) that he is still being allowed to practice medicine, and on children of all people! Seriously? He needs to have his license taken, and never given back!
