After having a rude doctor the clinic switched me to Dr Human, he was the kindest, helpful, punctual doctor i have ever had, wish i still had him, he would always help me in any health needs i needed with a can do attitude, i hear hes retired but wish there were more doctors like him

i saw this doctor for months when i was doing very bad. he put me on an extremely high dosage of ativan and valumn. it took me over 3 months of brutal withdrawls to get off it. after that i straightned my life out myself with natural ways and products. a few months ago i tried passing a msg to numerous clinics just to get a phonecall from the guy and he wouldnt even call me? i had questions about what i was on at the time (i wasnt mad or upset at the time just needed help) and needed info for my new doctor. dr human wanted basically nothing to do with me now and couldnt even take 2 min out of his day to call me. very disapointed. he is not the kind of person i thought he was. i no longer want a phone call from him.

Today I saw locum physician, Dr. Gideon Human, who is filling in while my regular family doctor is on vacation. What a pleasant experience - his kind and thoughtful demeanor was much appreciated! He provided me with additional insight in to the conditions for which I'm currently being treated. Although I'm completely satisfied with my current GP, Dr. Human would be a great addition to the Chemainus clinic. Unfortunately, it would seem that he is enjoying his retirement too much for that to ever happen!

awesome doctor. he def goes the xtra mile for his patients. he even came to my house and did a few home apointments for me when I was at my very worst. wish I knew how to contact him now since he has moved outa powell river. if any1 knos can u respond to this post?

Dr. Human is the best family doctor I've ever had. He is the rare kind...one who actually cares and listens to his patients. I've always felt good leaving his office. He is also knowledgeable and was quick to help me with getting my specialist appts in Vancouver and on the Island. In the past 10 years of having him as my family doctor, he was always there to check on me when I got admitted to the hospital for a few different surgeries and he even called me at home to check on me. He never hesitated to see and examine us all when I came in with a bad cold and brought my little ones unscheduled. We miss you in Powell River, Doc! Come back soon!

Dr. Human was my doctor during the last few months of my pregnancy and after my son was born in 2001 he continued to be our primary physician. He is an incredibly personable and kind man who is very knowledgeable and caring about his patients. He goes beyond the "physical symptoms" and asks about other things that are occuring in one's life that have an impact in a physical way. We adored him and feel blessed to have had him as our doctor. Abbotsford could really use a doctor like him!

Became my doctor when I got pregnant with my daughter and was very helpful throughout. Very encouraging throughour labour, delivery, and breastfeeding. Seems happy to answer any questions or concerns I have, even when they're not what I'm there for! Is my daughter's doctor now as well, and my next child (I'm currently pregnant again) will also have him as a doctor. We're very happy with him and he's very compassionate. The only problems are the fact that we are usually waiting to get in, but as he always takes time to answer my questions I imagine he would do the same for others and not rush them. Also he discouraged breastfeeding during my pregnancy which I disagree with, and the information I've found in books, etc. as well as a second opinion state it's fine. Other than that I would really recommend him as a doctor. Fantastic!

Here for me when I needed him. Referred me to a specialist while I was waiting in his office and got me an appointment with same specialist within two days.
