I recently met with Dr Collins to discuss possible treatment of a recurrent foot problem. She listened carefully, asked several questions, and — with the help of Xrays — explained two possible solutions. She also projected the odds of these surgical interventions actually solving the problem I’ve been having. And she explained how long I would need to recuperate from the surgery. What more could I ask for? It wasn’t a lunch date, and if I decide to opt for surgery, I have absolute confidence in her surgical abilities.

Dr. M. Collins performed lapidus fusion surgery by correcting my severe bunions on both my feet. I had great experiences with my appointments before and after both my surgeries. Dr. Collins is a superb, confident, experienced surgeon who earned my trust quickly. She communicated well not just with me, but with her operating team and the RebalanceMD staff. During recovery, I took serious care and responsibility of my feet by following her post-surgery instructions.

My quality of life is back again as I can walk and run pain-free, and I have Dr. Collins to thank because in the end she corrected my bunions successfully.

Rating Dr. Collins is a little difficult because I believe that my surgery was performed well and my post operative recover has also gone well. Ultimately, this is all that really matters.
That being said, I believe that Dr. Collins could improve somewhat in her bedside manner and conveying information and listening closely to her patient's concerns. I believe she is a good surgeon and you should take that into account.

Dr Collins handled my ankle surgery. She was very thorough with answering any questions I had and made me feel at ease. She also went above & beyond to ensure I got my surgery promptly despite the fact that I had Covid.

Dr. Collins performed an operation on my foot, and did not even leave me with any written instructions for follow up. I was anxious and had been anesthetized, so if she did give me any verbal instructions I could not be sure I had heard them properly.
My husband recently saw another surgeon who gave him very helpful advice post surgery, and provided a very useful written copy as well. Dr. Collins needs to do this as well.
Dr. Collins had a very cold manner, and always seemed rushed.

Very informative, very helpful, very supportive. In response to the other review, these are surgeons, not a pediatrician... our daughter broker her arm and waited over night as well. It lets them sleep, reduces swelling, and she also told us that a trauma would bump us in schedule. She did an excellent job of surgery and she answered all our questions in a clear and informed manner. That is what is important, and she did an excellent job of that.

This doctor at the Victoria General Hospital has the worse bed side manor, very unprofessional when it comes to speaking with patience and their families, short, cold and rude. Our daughter had broken her arm and she was uncaring when it came to the fact that they put the cast on too tight and almost cut the circulation off our daughters arm as well as she doesn't follow up with her patience and does not discuss the surgery she performs with the families. Dr. Collins was very empathetic and non-apologetic when it came to her mistakes. She also let our daughter wait 15 hours for surgery when she knew very well how much pain she was in from the broken arm while on pain medication. Our daughter is very young and even though the ER doctors highly recommended for her to be looked at immediately she said she would like to sleep and will do the surgery the next day even though she was the on call doctor.
