I can sum up the service I received for concerns I had about my joints, as well as the health of my mouth in one word: appalling. Dr. Forystek spent a total of five minutes with me and in that time she acted condescending, irritated and rude. I rarely require a doctor’s visit and know my body well enough to act when I am concerned about something that I do not know how to care for on my own.

I spent an hour waiting to see her because I believed that I needed a nutritional test done to see what vitamins and minerals my body needed. My joints had become painful, my ears were ringing and my gums were in trouble. In the FIVE minutes I was allotted with her, she managed to try to schedule me for a mammogram and a hearing test. She didn’t examine my joints or the concerns I had for my mouth. She flippantly suggested I go see someone else for that. So, I did. As it turns out I was simply deficient in Vitamin D. Had she taken the time to send me for the simple test, my issues would have resolved quickly.

After my ordeal, I waited three days to see how I felt about the “treatment” I received and then contacted her office to request my $100 fee to be returned to do lack of service. I was calm, professional and polite. I received late phone replies from her office and kept all copies of phone records. I was told that they called, when in actuality they did not call when they claimed. After waiting for over a month for resolution or at least a call from Dr. Forystek, instead I received a certified letter from Dr. Sandra Brannin and Dr. Jonathan Hines telling me that they will “no longer be able to provide medical care”. Apparently, questing the care I did not receive was not acceptable to them.

Patient “care” is not valued at Wilmington Health. I suggest avoiding them at all costs.
