I called to confirm that they accepted my insurance and they confirmed that they did. I then took off work, got my daughter out of school, and got the referral that we now need to do. I repeated the process one week later and when i got there they claimed that they did not accept my plan but i could pay cash. I pay 1447.00 a month for my premium so that did not work for me. I had also confirmed with them, even after seeing them in my network online. It also cost me a few hundred missing work for this and I had to pull my daughter out of school as well each time. I asked to speak with the office manager to see if they could help me since they made the mistakes but they said that she was "too busy on the phone and stuff". really poorly managed and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE or COMPASSION

I went in for help with my child's ringworm (diagnosed by my child's pediatrician). Dr. Powell's physician assistant Jill McGraw proceeded to tell me it was "eczema atopic derm". When I said it was actually fungal she said "If you want to diagnose her then I can step out of the room" and proceeded to leave. When I asked her to wait she kindly explained to me that she's been in her career for 12 years, working with skin the entire time and then said "but I'll be happy to escort you out" and walked out and down the hall without another word. I have never been so poorly treated by a medical 'professional'. I hope my rating will keep others from having a similar experience with this woman.

February 13, 2012 I had my stitches removed at Dr. Powell's office by someone other than Dr. Powell. I was told by this person to come back in 3 months so the doctor can see how the wound is healing & to do a complete body scan. I was perplexed. Why does not the doctor look at the wound now, 2 weeks after he sewed me up? If he is not interested 2 weeks after the operation, why then in 3 months?Complete body scan? Why not right now that I am at the office having the stitches removed? Or 2 weeks ago when he did the surgery? Or prior to that when I first went to the office and he did the biopsy? I left feeling like it is all money driven and I am looked at as just one big S with two lines through it.

Do not visit him. He starts sending extra bills to patients a year after your visit despite the fact that your insurance had already paid for the visit. But he wants to get more money and keeps sending bills to you directly.
