I recently had an initial phone appointment with this doctor, and while he was polite, I encountered some concerning issues. Despite explaining my longstanding health challenges and inability to work since 2017, he dismissed my situation, suggesting that my health issues weren’t a valid reason to be unemployed. This lack of understanding and empathy was disheartening, especially considering the immense struggle I’ve faced in managing my health.

I emphasized my digestive problems and dyshidrosis, which significantly impact my ability to work consistently. The unpredictable flare-ups of dyshidrosis, causing bleeding and cracked skin, and the digestive issues stemming from late-diagnosed celiac disease make it difficult for me to maintain steady employment. However, the doctor minimized these challenges as mere inconveniences and implied that my unemployment was unwarranted.

It’s frustrating to see such a dismissive attitude towards complex health conditions. While the doctor may be suitable for minor ailments, those with chronic or invisible illnesses may find their concerns overlooked. This highlights a broader issue within our healthcare system, where patients with complex conditions face barriers to receiving proper care and understanding from primary care providers.

Remember everyone, in navigating the healthcare system, it’s essential to advocate for oneself and seek out healthcare professionals who listen and understand your unique needs. Don’t hesitate to explore other options and find a doctor who takes your concerns seriously. There’s value in persistently seeking the support and care you deserve.

Dr. Arjuna was friendly at the appointment and ordered the labs and xray, but did NOT follow up with me or send copies to my family doctor. I ended up having a serious chest infection that was left untreated. I assumed that because he didn.t call with results that there were none, and only realized when I checked my lab results online. I could not get another appointment with him online, and I tried calling the "clinic" he works at and it goes straight to voicemail which the mailbox is full. I am still extremely sick and this could have been prevented from worsening if he had of contacted me with the results and ordered the antibiotics needed to clear up this infection.
