Agree with another reviewer about being the best colposcopy service. Went to another specialist who missed my CIN3 and told me all was fine, but I went to Dr Tan for 2nd opinion and he had the best equipment and colposcope. CIN3 found and within 1 week my LLETZ was performed, no pain and no complications. He was thorough and explained everything. Took extra time to sort out my other health issues (found that i has a bleeding tendency which no other doctors have ever bothered with just by him noticing that I had many bruises on my arms and legs). He then referred me to Haematologist. Well worth the fees which are more than other specialist.

After my first consult, I knew he wasn’t the right doctor for me. His consult seemed extremely rushed, lacked empathy and was expensive. After being diagnosed with cancer, I expected his focus of my visit would be to discuss my history and the future medical plan. He was very quick to examine me and within what seemed to be only 15 minutes of meeting, I was in the chair and he was requesting to take biopsies. To say the least, I left his appointment feeling traumatised and worrying that I may have another type of cancer. Thankfully this was not the case. Having worked as a medical professional myself, I found his bedside manner very unprofessional. He doesn’t permit family members to attend appointments with you. At the time I thought this was due to Covid, but now I realise it may be due to legal reasons, as I have no witness of my experience. I found being diagnosed with cancer a very emotional and vulnerable time, and a doctors bedside manner is important. He failed to build my trust and I felt he saw me as dollars walking through the door. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone. I am now on the road to recovery and am so pleased I listened to my instincts and found another doctor.

Best colposcopy service in WA. Went to public system, they missed my high grade lesion and didnt even bother to biopsy. Dr Tan took his time, was vey gentle, found my CIN3, and had treatment 1 week later. LLETZ treatment was done in no time, and no pain! He was thorough and even sorted out my other health issues. They have a special examination chair and toilet which made the experience so much more pleasant. Expensive, but worth it.

Dr Jason Tan is highly skilled professional with exceptional surgical skills.and takes pride in doing the best he can to bring his patients relief and comfort. He clearly explains his reasons
for carrying out a procedure and when necessary uses his TV screen to demonstrate concerns he may have. His bedside manner now demonstrates his passion for medicine. I am more than happy to be in his care.
Drawing on his knowledge of anatomy he has eliminated a nerve pain I have had for at least 20 years. I cannot believe that at 83, I am pain free.
Yes. He works in an area that is very sensitive and the pain at times can been intense. Can a procedure that is in progress be stopped because a patient I having trouble coping with the pain involved? Doctors have overhead costs. - staff to pay, insurance for expensive equipment etc etc. It is understandable that fees are high.
Dr Tan has always assured me that he will fit me in should I need attention before my next appointment and that he has done on several occasions. Because he like yo deal with each patient's concerns and avoid anxiety h often runs late but apologises profusely. That does not worry me. I know if I need attention or reassurance, I will get it. Thank you for your care.

I read the google reviews, and was anxious before attending. But all my friends who have seen him including my sister only had good things to say about him. When I saw him, he explained his medical board review to me, which in my view is outrageous as he performed an operation another colleague was unable to do and referred her to palliative care. Dr Tan performed the operation, and as I understand she is still alive now. he even told me that my treatment pathway should not change because of his medical review , and was more than happy to refer me to another colleague if I wanted to.
I had a complex problem of the cervix, which he explained to me in clear English, gave me options. I proceeded to having a procedure in his procedural room, which contained only the best equipment, with even special chair. All was done within 10mins, no pain. He explained infection is common, but I did not get one. I have negative comments at all. in fact all his staff, rooms environment was perfect to assist in making patients less anxious.
For all those who wrote negative comments on google review, I would suggest you read rateMDS, and it;'s not fair to spread viscous rumours without full information.

If you have endometrial carcinoma, this is the doctor for you. I had a radical hysteredtomy and was abe to get up to the bathroom that afternoon with no pain. If you want precision accuracy foryour surgery, he is the one. Do not complain about anything

I was worried before seeing Dr Tan, as the reviews were mostly good and then there are some that were totally bad. Nothing in the middle.....I found that odd. In any case, I decided to see him as I has a complex problem. And the compliments about his care of complex cases were more.
After seeing him....I have absolutely no complaints as he addressed all my issues, a explained it and treated it without any problems. Highly recommended!
