great! really cares about her clients and wants to absolute best for them

I have seen Dr Flaherty a few times now and absolutely love her. She is always very patient as she listens to my current challenges with my mental illnesses, my spinal stenosis, nerve damage and chronic pain from 3 knee surgeries last year. She is compassionate, thorough in her exams and caring. I would recommend her to anyone!

Came in looking for help with chronic fatigue, constipation, depression and a variety of symptoms all aligned with hypothyroidism. Blood work came back consistently abnormal by current AACE standards and doctor labeled me as postpartum thyroidosis and decided a wait and see was the best app road. I pleaded I explained that my symptoms were literally ruining my life- work suffered, time with my family suffered, but the good doctor only retorted that "thyroid medication is not a diet drug" and kept talking to me as if I was a child trying to fake my way out of school (I'm a pharmacologist, I know what the drugs do, it's my job to know!) The interesting thing is my chief complaint was that the chronic fatigue was killing me, the weight was an aside- an additional symptom, but I guess she prejudged me as a fat girl looking for a quick fix. Long story short I suffered for months without treatment as the only thing she would consider prescribing were sleeping pills (great, one of the more addictive medications) which I refused. Eventually sought out a new doctor and now I'm finally getting treatment and starting to feel better. The nurses in her office are great and staff is great, doctor is in my opinion uncaring and unaware of current guidelines
