My entire family have been patients of Dr. Steve for almost 2 years. He has an awesome team ,very polite and caring. I would like to thank Kathleen who is a very compassionate and caring physician who followed up on moms condition 3 times a week when she was hospitaized for some time until she paased . Dr Steve we are so happy that your staff is very dedicated to our care. Thanks again for all you and your staff do .

I have been a patient for a long time and Dr. Zizzo and his staff have failed many times in providing proper care and attention to my situation.

I recently went in for some recurring knee pain that has made it extremely difficult for me to even climb stairs. In stead of sending me for any sort of imaging, they simply told me to take tylenol for the pain. Take a pill every day for my knee pain? Surely that cannot be professional advice.

So here I am, extremely frustrated because I still have this pain and it has even gotten worse over the lat few weeks. I truly wish and will search out a way to report this practice for not taking my request serious, especially as a black individual in this society.

Do better. You are responsible for taking care of this generation and you are failing.

I haven't seen Dr. Zizzo in well over 4 years, all I ever get are the nurse practitioners or the dr helpers. You never see the same one so you have to give a complete history each time and since most of these calls are over the phone, they have never seen me or me them. They do not bother to read the chart before calling you either so are completely unaware of who you are and what your history is. No continuity of care and by the time they give you an appointment to give you test results that are negative weeks and even months have gone by.

Thanks you for your feedback. We are proud of our evidence-based team-based model that is overseen by a Physician but puts an appropriate provider in front of you. This model increases access and ultimately the care you receive. At any time you are able to see a Physician upon request and it is a practice policy to ensure continuity of care is with the same provider in acute/chronic situations requiring ongoing appointments. It is unfortunate your experience is contrary. May I suggest you call our office and speak with our Patient Experience Coordinator so we can go over our policies and practices, as it appears your experience is not consistent with this. We would definitely like to explore this further with you. Thank you again for your post.

I have been a patient at Winterberry Family Medicine for a little over 1 1/2 years now and have never met Dr. Zizzo. My issue is I have CLL, emphysema and now COVID positive. I called the office yesterday and today requesting a same day appointment with a nurse practitioner. I know I need a prescription for antibiotics as I usually get pneumonia whenever I get sick. I was told to call first thing in the morning for a same day appointment. With feeling as ill as I do I wasn’t able to call that early. I was told that was the only way I could receive an appointment. I understand the staff are doing their jobs and are very good at it, but what I don’t understand is why there aren’t exceptions to the rule especially when a patient has COVID and underlying health conditions. I gave a 1 star rating for helpfulness only for this issue otherwise it would be a 5 star rating

My husband and I have just become patients and are looking forward to meeting with you and your staff. Have had great interviews to set up our charts. After being patients at another Medical Centre for sixty years, it has been sad to leave , but necessary because of a new doctor joining their staff.

After being treated poorly by the only two family docs i’ve ever had I was beginning to think that doctors who truly cared were a thing of the past and honestly didn’t even want a family doctor anymore. I found these reviews and actually felt a little hopeful that maybe there is a doctor who will listen to me instead of treating me like an inconvenience or even becoming angry that I tried to make an appointment. My ability to trust doctors is severely damaged but I trust these reviews and Dr. Zizzo’s kind replies and put in a man application to be a new patient.
This is the first time in my life i’ve actually felt calm and somewhat happy to possibly get to see a doctor rather than scared and sad to have to deal with one.
