Be careful when you see Dr. Dewar. Appointment started off OK but he became impatient and then aggressive when I asked about his experience and options besides getting opened up with a big incision. Gave me a very bad feeling so I did some basic research on the internet. He was FIRED from his previous position in Saskatchewan for anger management issues. Took the hospital to court and lost. Leopards don't change their spots. Do yourself a favor, do your research and look up your doctor on the internet. Stay away from this one.

Thank you Dr. Dewar for taking the time late in the evening to talk me and my wife about various options for my cardiac surgery. You took your time explaining what would happen and sat patiently listening to our questions and providing complete explanations. We appreciated your caring bedside manner and competence in performing my surgery. My experience with follow up care was similar. Thank you! Highly recommend.

My husband is 6 year's cancer free from esophageal cancer and we know it's because of the skills and competencies of Dr Dewar. Not a single complication from the surgery and is back to 100 % normal. We found him to be confident and by far the most experienced surgeon for the complex surgery that was required. If hubby ever has a recurrence, we will travel to Vancouver to see Dr Dewar. #miracleworker
