I would make sure you understand the procedure being considered. While a good surgeon ,I do not think I would have done the It band release had I comprehended the gravity of it. (It was an addition to another procedure) Some of my complications could have been avoided with physical therapy, but the way pt was presented it seemed unnecessary. I was ignorant. Ask questions until you understand. .. regardless of where you go. Good luck!

Friendly. Knowledgeable. Efficient. The office can be packed on some days. Usually running on time. fixed my hip impingement and tear. And again a year later after a car wreck re injured it. I have seen 3 Orthopedic Dr's and he's on par. The human body can be frustrating to fix at times but I believe he does care about his patients.

Dr. Elder has literally looked me in the eye and said "we could do that test to see, but i dont think its fair to make the insurance company pay for it." his office takes days/weeks sometimes to return a phone call. it took me over a week to get a prescription that was written incorrectly refilled for pick up while i went without meds. Never have I attended a physicians office that ran in such a chaotic way and dr. elder shows no compassion for his patients. Do not use this man.

This doctor will treat you well during your surgery - its the post op that you need to be concerned about. He is rude and unconcerned with his pts well being over all. Other reviews might reflect otherwise but this "doctor" is not worth even making an appointment with.

Fantastic surgeon, especially if you want to be actively involved in your procedure and subsequent recovery! Dr. Elder is willing to provide as much information as the patient requires to have a positive experience...patient, intelligent and up on the facts, plus great communicator!

Dr Elder has replaced my two knees, and repaired my rotator cuff. I feel that his work is excellent and that he really cares about his patients. Great personality , very professional and competent! I would highly recommend him.

Dr did more than expected to knee...7mths later still awkward and pain behind kneecap. Cut me short when asking questions, before op...felt he didnt like being questions...just wanted me to leave it up to him. Never explained what i might be feeling after surgery...no warnings....told someone else while i was recouping in room after surgery what he had done...never directly to me....I had to ask after wards on 1st visit to office. Did 2 rounds of steriods, and then a shot into knee....... now 7 mths later going for 2nd opinion
