Good technician, but poor listener. Had a rotator problem in severe pain. Prescribed PT which I did for 4 weeks. No improvement. At my next appointment I stated I was in pain and needed to have something done. She jumped to conclusion I wanted surgery & told me surgery was not appropriate as all people my age have some rotator damage and need to live with it. I wasn't even wanting surgery, just wanting an injection . Needs to listen.

I saw Dr Strong several times each time I saw her she got increasingly stranger. She flat out lied to me, more than once. I caught Dr Strong in a couple of lies... She told she could fix my torn rotator cuff without surgery - Then after five months of physical therapy (I was still having major issues) and her assistant finally tells me "you know a tear won't heal without surgery". I confront Dr. Strong with this and she says "I told you that!" I felt like I was in an episode of the twilight zone... She never told me that. I won't have someone that lies to my face operate on me. The other thing is she doesn't like to answer any questions. And if she does take the time to answer... The answers always seemed to be qualified with a smug "Just my opinion" remark at the end. Now after wasting 5 months ... I have to start the whole process over again. 6 weeks to heal from the surgery another 6 to 12 months of physical therapy. Not sure what kind of racket they are running but it should be investigated. She not only wasted my time and money she got my hopes up telling me I didn't need surgery. I would NOT recommend Dr. Alexandra Strong

Doesn't listen and not at all concerned with how much pain you are experiencing.
One of the worst I have ever had the unfortunate pleasure dealing with.
If you are in PAIN I would suggest Alan Cornett. Just down the hall on the same floor.

Dr. Alexandra Strong was my Dr. through a series of four knee injections. Each time I requested some numbing agent and she said they did not use any for this (extremely painful) injection. When I went in for my 5th injection, she was not there and I was assigned another Dr.'s nurse. When she approached me with a numbing spray I said I thought they did not use it. She seemed surprised and said she would never give this injection without numbing first. Needless to say, when it came to my surgery, I chose another practice.

Dr. Strong has repaired both my shoulders. She listened, understood my financial limitations re pt, and worked with me. She does her job, i.e., surgery, and expects you to do your part, i.e., physical therapy. Both patient and doctor are responsible for the successful outcome of ortho surgery. Patients need to know that surgery is only part of the equation. Their committment to therapy is the other part of it. If I ever need my knees replaced, I'll go to her. She has my complete faith and trust.
