Dr. Safi is no longer in Corner Brook. He is now in Mississauga. If anyone is looking for an up to date rating! Dr. Safi IS a wonderful Dr. But he is a victim of NO place to perform his surgery; therefore you will be dicked around waiting eternally for your surgery. His staff, save for ONE woman, are all lacking. I honestly like this Doctor, he explains things to you, my surgery went well, although I waited for ever for it! I want to say avoid, if it weren't for the good Doctor himself. He just needs to train his call staff not to be so impatient with callers and be more understanding. The staff really upset me!

I had very bad experience with the staff. I got a first appointment, reached on time in the building, looking for office and got five minutes late so they sent another patient who had appointment after me. I politely ask that this not right and front staff responded unprofessionally that I am yelling. I explained the staff that I am just talking in normal voice. Very disappointing with the services.

Dr. Shaffee did an amazing and deficient job but removing my cataracts. It was a pleasure working with him.

Location “Timmins”
Wait time 3hrs 😤, felt like you were just another card swiped “pay cheque” for him not being realistic or companionate due to the wait time, took to many patients per day which lead each time I went at least 3hrs wait time, offices weren’t very clean “lots of dust” not proper especially when getting eye injections “risk for infection” found he was unorganized at times. Staff wasn’t always “inviting” felt rushed. On a positive note he was very knowledgeable in many ways but did make me uneasy when he would had to consult with the other ophthalmologist “reassured me at first what needed to be done, when I went back it was like he forgot and his previous reassurance was no longer there and had to return another time, I live 2hrs away, long travel and wait to be going back and forth when plans and positive procedure was in place” found he liked to talk allot even off subject for being there, this for sure was a part of the long wait time.
Was seen by previous ophthalmologist and never had to wait or any issues with staff or cleanliness, unfortunately i was transferred to him.

Awesome doctor! He takes time to explain the details of your condition and treatment and allows for questions. Also refers for second opinion before deciding on possible surgery. Very caring, and respectful. A definite asset to medical services on the west coast.

Dr. Safi is such a breath of fresh air in this city. He has gone out of his way to help me and has done every possible thing within his specialty and continues to follow up with me regularly, and is even sending me to someone else for a second opinion before he does anything else. A great, kind, compassionate doctor who shows true concern. Corner Brook is lucky to have such a wonderful doctor.
