I had a root canal booked and was greeted by a very pleasant receptionist who patiently helped me fill out the paperwork. I was called into the office right on time Dr. Ashoo was a terrific Dentist! With his quick sense of humour, he worked slowly and carefully with constant requests for feedback, which put me at ease very quickly. I would recommend this dentist to anyone needs specialized treatment!

I have had many root canals and serious dental work. This was the best root canal experience to date. They accepted me same day for an emergency, everything was explained to me clearly, the procedure was efficient and I was comfortable at all times. The administrative process was smooth. All staff were professional and personable. I received excellent care and I would highly recommend Dr. Ashoo and his staff based on this experience.

From the moment I called and spoke to Jennifer, to when I was greeted by her, to having Chelsea talk me through everything, to meeting Dr Ashoo, having the procedure, to seeing Jennifer again at the end and having her explain everything in a very neat and organized manor made me know I went to the right place. Dr Ashoo and staff are remarkable, friendly, and personable. Thank you for making a scary situation, easy and pleasurable.

I was referred to Dr. Ashoo by my dentist after experiencing several months of tooth pain following 2 dental fillings next to each other. The office got me in the next day after my referral had gone in. Dr. Ashoo did additional x-rays and testing, and concluded that he was unable to identify a tooth needing a root canal. He told me to call as soon as my pain was bad and they would have me come back in ASAP to test again in order to localize the problematic tooth. I ended up coming back about 4 or 5 times over the span of 2 months, and still no problematic tooth was found. I ended up getting a second opinion from a different endodontist who also came to the same conclusion. Dr. Ashoo eventually said that he wasn't confident my pain was caused by a tooth issue and referred me to an Oral Pathology Specialist. I've now had many additional appointments with doctors and dental specialists and been given the working diagnosis of atypical facial pain. While I'm now on a difficult road to managing my chronic pain condition, I'm grateful to Dr. Ashoo for recognizing the signs of this problem and not proceeding with treatment that would have ultimately been permanent and unnecessary. Many people living with my condition do undergo extensive root canals and extractions before coming to the conclusion that they aren't dealing with a tooth issue.

I was referred to Dr. Ashoo by my dentist. I had infection in an old root canal tooth that also anchored a bridge. In my 80th year, with COVID19 and having underlying health conditions, I was apprehensive. I was immediately put at ease by the friendly and helpful staff; the entire office was set up with all kinds of protective equipment and protocols. Dr. Ashoo was personable, reassuring and he and his assistant worked like a choreographed dance for close to an hour. He explained that during the original root canal more than 20 years ago, the canals had not been "cleaned out" (my unprofessional description)to the bottom and infection had set in. I would have lost two teeth! I can highly recommend Georgetown Endodontics. A sincere thankyou to Dr. Ashoo and Chelsea and Angie!

Thank you Dr. Karam Ashoo and Chelsea for making my experience awesome. I would highly recommend this team for a root canal to my family and friends. I was nervous after reading the anonymous review below. Dr. Karam Ashoo definitely has all the latest equipment, expertise and humourous bedside manner. I really appreciate the recommendation from my dentist.

After having my first root canal with this dr, I was still feeling discomfort in that tooth. I expressed my concerns to Dr.Ashoo and was told I needed to let things settle awhile. He xrayed my tooth and said there was no issue. Weeks later I was starting to get daily headaches and tooth pain in the area. Dr.Ashoo kept denying there was any issue. I went to a couple of dentists for second opinions, but because the issue was not showing up on xrays, there was nothing I could do. Finally over a year later and after further xrays I was told by my dentist that I had severe decay on that tooth. Not only that but I was getting hives on my neck area that I never had, ontop of general feelings of being unwell, headaches and anxiety. I will only remember hearing Dr.Ashoo tell me that root canals are 99% successful when I went for my first consult. Thank you Dr.Ashoo for giving me over a year of anxiety and for setting me back hundreds of dollars getting second opinions after the 1500 I spent on this root canal nightmare. I should also mentioned the hygienist was completely rude after the procedure and hurt my mouth trying to arrange cardboard for xrays. Apparently my pain angered her.

Dr. Karam Ashoo's response
I am unsettled by your experience. It certainly is atypical. There seems to be some confusion, such as the relationship you drew between the treatment you had and the developments of hives and decay. Please contact the office so that we may address your ongoing discomfort. As these reviews are anonymous, I am unable to do so myself.
