Wish I never got operated by him- well he lets residents operate so what’s the point of booking with “the top” if he doesn’t even do the surgery. No post op care- didn’t speak to me after surgery. I had to ask for even a resident to come talk, had to push my way to physically get an appointment. Surgery was not a success - in more discomfort now then I was before surgery

One of the worst experiences of my life. Never go to this surgeon.

Dr. Terry Phang, changed my life for the worst. My surgery went well, it's what he did after that changed my life. My sample was sent away and about 3 weeks later I received the results. I was told that I was Cancer free. I had 33 lymphnodes tested and I was told that they were all clear. I started my remission journey. I was also told I didn't need my Oncologist moving forward. Unfortunately I took his word for it. Two weeks later I had a side effect in my rectal area and was sent for a CT scan and from there my life changed forever. I was told that the cancer had spread to my liver and lungs. I went from cancer free to terminal. I went to see an oncologist right away, to be told (with tears in her eyes) that the same report that was read to me weeks prior, actually stated that I had active cancer and that chemo wasn't working for me. How does someone like this get away with lying to a patient? This was so preventable and now my 5 kids will be left without a mother. Double and triple check your reports. Unfortunately I never got to see this one, until it was too late.

Dr. Phang gives zero explanation on what he is going to do in surgery or what he has done post surgery - each time we’ve spoken (which I have had to ask for), he just keeps asking what questions I have as opposed to explaining the planned or completed surgery. He gave me internal stitches during surgery and if I hadn’t demanded a follow up call post surgery, I would not have known about them until my 8 week follow up. Terrible bedside manner and clearly doesn’t think he needs to provide his patients with any information in their most vulnerable states.

He made a big mistake when he did surgery on me. Cut the nerve that causes bowel movements. Life changing. No admittance of wrong doing on his part. Life is very hard now.

Dr. Phang saved my husbands life! Dr. phang was our second opinion thank god! Dr. Vikis said my husband will have a eliostomy bag for life for rectal cancer. We went to see Dr. phang s as nd he said I can’t promise anything but will see what he can do. He performed a miracle. Temp bag for three months only. His staff Levan is amazing. She is on the ball with all my husbands ct, mri and colonoscopy appointments. Dr.Phang was informative with the surgery.

This guy makes waaaaay too many mistakes in surgery. I know of three other cases he has screwed up on as well. DO NOT TRUST HIM !!
