I found Dr. C Barnett very nice and professional. My lipoma surgery was painless (even the freezing needle) and both her and her assistant explained after care throughly. She is a great surgeon at RVH

Dr Barnett is a wonderful doctor that removed a tumor from my colon and anytime I needed to talk to Her I left the message with her staff which were kind and compassionate and she called me back within 2 hours. She is never late and she takes the time to explain everything that will be done during your surgery.

This doctor is AMAZING. She is extremely knowledgeable & very forthcoming with what she expects will take place when performing Upper GI or Colonoscopy. After the procedure(s) she attends you & lets you know what she found or didn’t find but explains it all. She’s very easy to speak with & NEVER makes you feel rushed or that your questions aren’t important. If I ever needed surgery for anything I would have every confidence in her. Dr Barnett’s right-hand gal Marci is extremely helpful whenever I’ve had to call the office for anything. You’ve got a winner with Dr Barnett.

What an amazing surgeon! Right from the start of meeting her, you get the sense that she truly cares and invests the time in you and making sure you understand your options, expected outcomes and risks. All the way through the process she is responsive, extremely knowledgeable and it shows both through her communication and through the surgical procedure itself where her skill is evident. You cannot be in better hands if you get referred to this surgeon!

The only downside is that while I truly believe she does her absolute best to run the office on time, sometimes you do have to wait a little longer than your scheduled time. But based on my experience, I believe this is because she invests her time so heavily in her patients and goes the extra mile, because she doesn't rush you out the door when you see her even if she is behind.
And so I'd prefer to wait that extra time and get someone who really cares and is willing to spend that extra time with me, so it isn't a big downside to me. Plus, she's a specialist and I've certainly waited just as long or longer to see my family doctor.

To the writer of May 22/2020...Dr Barnett’s office’s telephoned are only being answered remotely. The office itself is closed. I rec’d a call from her Secty just last week informing me that my procedure for June 25 was cancelled. Yes..5 weeks down the road!, This Dr has taken very good care of me before; during & after procedures. I’d suggest you get your fiance’s GZp to try to contact Dr Barnett to ascertain what went on. I’m sure there must be a reasonable explanation. You didn’t say when the surgery took place. Good luck!

My fiancé had surgery with dr Barnette . Post surgery no care instruction , what he may experience etc was given to him . There was no pain management, anesthesia or anything for the surgery he had . His body went into shock/trauma because he was fully awake for his surgery (hemorrhoid) . I called multiple times and left 3 voicemails from Tuesday through Friday . After calling multiple times expressing that my fiancé is in excruciating pain and wasn’t sure if that was normal for him to experience. I understand with everything going on due to Covid that they were busy and behind with callbacks and booking surgeries . I feel there was definitely some negligence with patient care for both pre during and post surgery . I would not recommend this doctor to anyone . It got to a point where I had to call his family physician to get answers and thankfully his doctor took it serious enough to call and figure out what the heck was happening. Both family doctor , myself and fiancé are not impressed with this doctor .
