I have been seeing Dr Mirza for approx 5 years now. Excellent at his profession. A skilled surgeon who is committed to ensuring any resulting scars are minimised as much as possible, I had a significant BCC removed from my face (27 stitches) and you can barely notice it. Additionally with a melanoma removed from my back. A nice bloke and friendly staff as well.

Diagnostically poor (repeated misdiagnosis and failure to respond to poor reaction to therapy). Incapable of providing clear advice and treatment option. Vacillating. Little sense of obligation to the patient. Two consultations and $700 later, my problems were worse. I eventually self-diagnosed from reading basic info on the internet, and successfully treated my problem with a $13 over-the-counter cream from Chemist Warehouse. In short, bloody useless.

During treatment I ended up with the worst skin of my life and have had to get a referral to another dermatologist for help. Dr Mirza seemed to run out of intelligent solutions halfway through my treatment and has left me with severe skin problems from the medications he prescribed. Proceed with caution if you have rosacea or acne.

Dr Mirza is very knowledgeable and provided excellent service giving me options for treatments. He provided a wholistic way of treating my skin problem and took the time to listen to my concerns. Lovely staff and no wait time. I was given some skin care products to try which I really appreciated as it is very expensive trying to figure out what I can and can’t put on my face. I went away feeling like there is hope for my skin and confident that I can follow a plan of action that will lead to better results.

Dr Mirz is excellent. He has the latest technology and is always seeking knowledge in his field. His work is his life and passion. He is friendly and actually cares. His staff are happy and friendly. I highly recommend him.

I had a skin cancer removed from the side of my nose - the surgeon that removed it commented - 'I am surprised that the skin specialist even noticed it.'
Has saved my skin and my husbands a few times.
Basit may be quirky but I am happy to work with that :-)

What a quack. Didn’t know what he was talking about and after saying one ingredient I was using in my skincare contibuted my issues, he then prescribed skincare that had the exact same ingredient in it! Also doesn’t know how to ask the patient questions- talked over the top of me and said some really random stuff that was not at all relevant to the consultation. Very unprofessional.

Not the brightest of dermatologists. His intentions are good, great staff, and friendly. However, I have enough friends, and just want my skin condition identified (I saw a junior dermatologist who picked it up straight away).

Dr. Basit Mirza is thorough and knowledgeable - it is clear that this (field) is his passion. He takes the time to ask questions about you and your body. His knowledge is second to none. In his consultation he will give his professional opinion and will back it up with extensive study and research to reassure sure you that he knows his stuff.
