Dr. Cunha was referred by my dentist for a problematic root canal! His staff did a great job and made sure I was comfortable at all times. Appreciated the follow up call to see how I was doing. Dr Cunha has an amazing personality and a great sense of humour. Plus, I enjoyed the fun bantering between him and my Italian husband regarding soccer ;)

After being referred by my dentist, and having a consult, I had part 1 of my first root canal yesterday, which was scheduled after the last appointment of the day, and on short notice, and as promised by Dr. Cunha, it was painless! His assistant was amazing, doing her job, and offering to hold my hand. When Dr. Cunha saw that I might be in distress, he stopped and asked if I was OK, if I was feeling any pain, and only continued when I said I was OK.
There was pain after the freezing wore off, but nothing that a couple of over the counter painkillers and a good night sleep couldn't fix.
I am grateful for Dr. Cunha, his assistant, and the office staff for their kindness, and great sense of humour.

Dr. Cunha just completed my emergency root canal. It was a complicated procedure because of my heavily calcified route, but he wouldn’t give up and never lost his unique, positive and encouraging spirit. His bedside manner is terrific. You feel very cared for; he is kind and funny. His skill is out of the world, and I was thrilled to hear that he is teaching because this is exactly the type of person students should be learning from—the perfect balance of skill and personality. I would highly recommend him to anyone. And if you know someone who needs work done but is terrified of going to a Dentist or Endodontist, he is the one for you.

Dr. Cunha is the best endodontist in the city by far. I have had many other dental emergencies but no one has handled it with such professionalism, knowledge and kindness. Dr. Cunha and his team adjusted the whole schedule to fit me in without even checking if I would be able to afford the treatment. Clearly, the most important thing for him and his team was to save my tooth and make me feel better. I will be forever thankful for everything!

They got me in on an emergency basis. The Dr. assured me that the root canal would not hurt. He seemed like a nice enough guy. After the procedure, they explained the aftercare and gave me 2 Tylenol and a prescription for an antibiotic. When the freezing came out the pain was unbearable. A 10/10! I called the office like I was supposed to, and they turned their backs on me. I had to locate a stronger pain killer on my own. Plus, I ended up with a persistent migraine that kept returning over 10 days. In addition, between the first part and the future completion, it will cost more than double what the referring dentist indicated. I will not return for the second part.

I was absolutely terrified to get another root canal. I had two by a newbie dentist thanks to my dentist who passed me off onto his new employee for this. The procedure was horrendous, I even passed out and the next day they told me to have the teeth pulled. I avoided dealing with my two unfinished root canals for a long time.
I was told by a dentist friend to go to an endodontist and I was sent to Dr. Cunha and am so grateful to him and his amazing assistant who demonstrated patience - a lot of compassion and gentleness to me which enabled me to get throuh this and overcome my intense phobia. I really apppreciate them not treating me as if I was a loser as I developed this fear as a direct result of my dental situation being mishandled.
I am about to have non dental surgery and there was some confusion by the surgeon regarding the dental work possibly making surgery not possible and I was very upset and called the office but they handled it very well and Dr. Cunha told me to give his number to her and things got resolved.
You are in good hands if you go to this clinic, they are experts and they genuinely care about their patients.
Im going back for a second root canal in August and I know I can get through it ok now.

Dr. Cunha is simply the best. Super friendly and nice guy, and very professional. I came in with a re-infected root canal that I had done 15 years ago. I was told that I would likely need surgery through the gum, or a full implant initially by another professional. After a quick assessment Dr.Cunha suggested that he could do it by going through the tooth. Extremely grateful that he was able to do this, considering I am going on a trip next week and was afraid of the lingering effects of surgery. The process was painless, and after the freezing was gone 2 hours later I felt 100% better.

Dr. Cunha is fantastic. Such a great demeanour, funny and kind. Definitely the first dentist I like. The multiple needles didn't hurt at all somehow! This guy is good! I did not catch the name of the dental assistant that helped with my procedure, but she was phenomenal too.
