I was misdiagnosed by him years ago. It meant that my condition worsened & I am now dependent on more medication than if he'd treated me correctly at the time. Later doctors were horrified at the treatment I received by Dr Windsor. Like others on this site, I should have sued him but did not have the energy to do so. He should be struck off. Yes, he is arrogant & does not care.

To the previous review, the positive reviews were not written by Mr Windsor but by myself and I can only highly recommend Mr Windsor. He saved my Dads life on several occasions and in fact quite the opposite to your review. My dad was a patient for several months due to serious illnesses and throughout Mr Windsor made sure he reassured us and listened when we said something was wrong. He was the only consultant who cared and took responsibility when my dad was a patient in his NHS practice. Other members of his team were negligent and arrogant. He has also operated on my mum and again we received impeccable care from Mr Windsor.

Dr. Alistair Windsor has caused the last ten years of pain for our family due to utter negligence. You can see from the below, two five star reviews after two one star that he has written these himself, well done for giving yourself top marks Alistair. After a botched surgery that he carried out at the very end of the day, there was a leak in my colon as he had forgotten to complete the job properly. In addition to this, his bedside manner was abhorrent, gaslighting my wife as she knew something was wrong but assured her it was her anxiety and not to worry. 24 hours later I was in intensive care. This caused near-deadly sepsis in my system, and consequential adhesion that I have been told by future specialists ultimately led to terminal cancer. Had I not been so ill immediately post botched surgery I would have sued this man but I did not have the physical nor mental strength at the time, which I now regret. I know he was the cause of all my health issues, as my siblings have had the exact same surgery with no further complications. If you value your life, do not use Dr Windsor as he has stolen mine from me at a young age. As per the first review, I would also give him no stars if I could, and just wish I could turn back the clock to pick a different surgeon. Do not make the same mistake as me, this man is arrogant, careless, and ultimately should be struck off after what he did to me, and my family.

Mr Windsor is the most personable, caring and excellent surgeon, who’s skills are second to none. You will not find a more caring surgeon. Mr Windsor treats everyone like a person, not a number. He’s very self-effacing, taking time to consider the patient, showing them respect at all times.

Alistair Windsor operated on my colon to remove two small lesions over a decade ago. A week post op I needed another emergency operation due to a leak from my wound which almost killed me due to septicaemia developing. During a routine. Months after a painful recovery at a routine check up he said ‘I knew I should have administered one more stitch!’ Stay well away from this surgeon, who has caused me to have years of complications from his botched surgery!

He took me off his NHS waiting list for daring to chase up my surgery despite waiting double the time quoted at that point. I did not find this out for another 9 mths at which time I’d had multiple admissions due to flare ups. He also lied and bullied me in an attempt to get me to go elsewhere to avoid the truth coming out. If anything goes wrong do not expect this man to be open and honest. I would give him no stars if possible.
