I like that Dr Sam Douthwaite has a relaxed and easy going manner with his patients.
He is also readily available for follow up , I could not recommend Dr Sam any higher.

I have seen Dr Dowthwaite on several occasions and had surgery with him. Following a lengthy health journey and many Doctors, I can honestly say that Dr Dowthwaite is one of the best 👌. He is kind and efficient and explains his treatments in a no nonsense manner. One of the best Specialists that I have seen. His staff are also 5 star 🌟.

His surgical skill is obvious but the one of the most impressive aspects to Dr Dowthwaite’s care is his ability to run on time. At all of my appointments I’ve never had to wait beyond a couple of minutes with him mostly being smack bang on time. And that’s without being rushed or fobbed off. Great service.

Highly recommend. Dr Sam Dowthwaite treated my husband, whom had melanoma in his parotid gland, performing a very successful full parotidectomy and upper neck dissection, removing all tumours wrapped around nerves in face with all margins clear. His stitchwork is so neat- second to none, can barely notice and all his facial nerves work perfectly. Dr Dowthwaite is a highly skilled, calm, positive and professional oncologist /ENT surgeon, he was highly recommended to us from someone who has worked alongside him in surgery in the nursing field, along with other surgeons. Dr Dowthwaite is not only exceptional at his job, but also humble, kind and just a truly beautiful soul. He was patient with all my questions for my husband, understanding, gentle, yet assertive in his expertise area, which is what you want. I simply cannot understand how one can perform lifesaving operations and finish with a handshake. Dr Sam IS the dream team. I would not think twice to put any of my loved ones under his care. I would highly recommend Dr. Dowthwaite to anyone in need of ENT treatment. I had 2 surgeries performed by him to treat my sleep apnea and both went really well. Recovery was painful but Dr. Sam adequately prepared me for this and set my expectations so I could manage my recovery well. He is also a lovely person and the first specialist I saw in my health battle that genuinely listened and empathised with me at the initial consult. I left the appointment feeling so much better just knowing that he was on my team. Oh, and he is always on time which is refreshing!
