My first contact with Dr. Douglas MacLean started in 2012 following operation in February 2013 on my Achilles tendon ,all my coworker sad to I newer will work Ambulance job , Dr. Maclean dune operation and four month late I was return to full duty in Ambulance service ,Dr. Maclean is amazing personality and surgeon ,I have honor to met all his family and it is beautiful people . Lovely Experience with Dr Maclean. Very caring manner and took the time to explain my hip pain which had been troubling me for years. He didn't push me into surgery , but did physio first , then injection and if my pain didn't resolve he said in the future I may need a hip replacement but left it up to me to say when I was ready. He is a very talent man but very easy to talk to. His reception was very lovely. Definitely recommend him to my bowling friends.

Wonderful experience with a talent surgeon. He is the only surgeon on the sunshine coast who can both scope the hip and do the anterior approach to hip replacement. We didn't need to go to brisbane anymore and he now is operating at Noosa Hospital. Our friends recommend him after they had bilateral knees done and they we pain free and back to walking with 4 weeks of surgery.

not helpful in addressing the ongoing pain and instability resulting from his surgery. wouldn't consider other consultants diagnoses and was dismissive of my questions providing no information on what he proposed as a solution to the severe problems. He did not provide good care at the early stages and didn't get to grips with the problems while in hospital.

Dr Maclean was wonderful. Very detailed initial consultation and has his calm and caring nature was refreshing given pass experience with other surgeons. My husband hip problem had been going on for years and other surgeons did not explain the problem like Dr Maclean. Totally recommend this surgeon. His staff were very focussed and friendly and his rooms are very professional. They explained the surgery process very well, taking the time with us to make sure we understood who to contact and the cost associated with the service.
