Dr.Kate is very knowledgeable about ADHD & autism. She is also very attentive and actively listens to our concerns. She’s made some excellent recommendations and we feel very comfortable approaching her. My child is also very comfortable talking with Dr.Kate.

She was alright with my son, he said he would come to see her again. Nothing outstanding, just a regular doc. I think there are no more doctors like you see in the movies... But at least this one saw my son, my family doc did not even want us to come! He only does phone calls now!
I just read what someone else wrote below. Ask another doc in their office, they have a doc who follows mothers only! kids' doctors do not give prescription to adults, am I wrong? That doc who works with moms could help. I do not know if you need referral to see that one?

She made me cry on two separate visits because I was unable to produce milk even after all herbal treatments and refused to give a prescription to help me produce.
Told me all noble prize winners were breast fed... well thanks for making me feel like a shit mama

This doctor spent literally half an hour talking with my son. After she asked me about his past and examined him. I have never seen that. I my family doc spent that much time with me! She did not really say anything new though. My son wants to see her again.

She was Ok, I have seen quite a few pediatricians with my 3 kids. She answered my questions and suggested a few things. Not that I am going to read the book she mentioned or the websites she showed, but at least I know that there is no need for medication to "fix" my son's sleep...

I read the comment below and while doctor's cell phone was not going off, I do not know , why her assistant is sitting on her cell? She seems nice, but she did not return my call for a long time. Now I know why: she has her own cell "to work". The doctor was Ok, I knew that my son was fine, I just wanted to see a pediatrician for a check up. But I do not know if the assistant should be on her cell all the time...

This review was very helpful, thank you for taking the time to do that. I came today to see Dr. E. and I made sure that her assistant books my follow up before 6 months from now. By the way, her assistant was very helpful. I should also mention that the doc did talk to my daughter quite a bit, she liked that! I did not know that she was a psychiatrist, I thought my family doctor referred me to a pediatrician. I saw a few pediatricians in the past, they usually had cell phone going off all the time. I will see what happens when we come for follow up.

My son was previously seen by Dr. E. Sure it has been a couple years but she's a psychiatrist and well he's going through a depression and is feeling, for lack of a better word, suicidal and her staff tells me I have to wait for a referral from my family doc in order to see her becasue the last time she saw him was over 6 months ago. Thanks for nothing.

I agree with the previous writer: if you say what you need, she helps. I wanted a referral to one particular center. My Family doctor said he could not refer me as I needed a pediatrician to do that. This one had shorter wait list, I agreed to see her. After a long interview (she wanted my son to answer questions, he is in Kindergarten;-), she asked me if I thought what could explain his problems. I said what I thought about that and asked about referral. I got it. I just do not know, why family doctor could not do that.... I guess it is all about how much time they are willing to spend with you. I think here I am scoring myself: how much knowledge I had before I came. do your research guys!

This was my 3d encounter with a pediatrician for the same question. While previous 2 had different things to say, this one asked: what I actually wanted. I said that I needed a referral for my daughter to see a psychiatrist. She told me that the previous doctor gave me appropriate advice but if I was still not at peace with that, "it was a good enough reason" to ask for the 2nd opinion. I was really surprised by that. It was very unusual experience. Her receptionist is too chatty, but Ok overall, parking was really bad, waiting room was great!
