Dr. O'Driscoll was the nicest, most thorough, kindest and most knowledgeable doctor, who really took his time with me, was very empathetic and gentle, not to mention, very funny, which is a rare and cool bonus when you are in pain in the emergency room. I am trying to find out if he can be my regular doctor, as I don't have one (this is Quebec, after all). If I am lucky enough to have him as my regular doctor, my quality of life will be greatly improved!

Je suis allé à l'urgence pour de vives douleurs au ventre. Il m'a ausculté attentivement et m'a ensuite fais passer une prise de sang et un test d'urine. Bien qu'il n'y avait pas de signes de gravité, il a fait les analyses pour me rassurer. Nous étions en pleine crise Covid et j'ai appris qu'il était le seul en charge à l'urgence. Je lui lève mon chapeau pour son dévouement et son courage.

Doctor came to see me while in ER after his colleague decided to give a morphine type of drug for pain relief... explained my excruciating pain, examined me and analyzed scan for my kidneys. Retrieved some more exams done at the CHUM a month before at gynecologist. Told me what he thought was the cause of my pain plus added that it could be endometriosis. Also added that the only way for them to know is to do a laparoscopy... I'm thankful that he pronounced this words.

Il m’a à peine osculté. Il n’écoutait pas quand je lui parlais. Il est sortie de la salle d’examen avant la fin de la consultation. Une infirmière est venue me dire d’aller faire tests sanguins. J’ai dit que j’attendais le docteur, elle m’a dit que c’était terminé. J’ai éclaté en sanglots. Aucun espace de discussion, de questions. Un des pires que j’ai vu. Vraiment.

Le médecin le moins humain, empathique et compétent que j’ai vu dans ma vie ( j’ai 60 ans). Il a traité mon fils qui avait une fracture testiculaire avec une absence totale de délicatesse et d’empathie!!
Je ne le souhaite à PERSONNE!!

Non chalant, is non carelessness cause me a complication that requiered a 3 day hospitalization, is most common amswer to everything is Ehhhh.. and just doesn't give a sh*** about anything.... presented to him with a a fever of 38.6 with a sore throat of 4 weeks...and pain in other places...examined the other issues, rules them out and did nothing to the thorat!!! No treatment, no follow up and no diagnosis...18 hours wait. Apparently a sprain ankle with a patient walking on it is more urgent then someone that has almost 39 fever and rising...yes cuz it pays more and that was this incompetant is all about....$$$$ inhumain, no bedside manners, asks you questions and cut you off before answering, never listens to your answer.
