Unnecessary test, poor bedside manner and bad communicator. Constantly claiming unnecessary fees. Would never use his services again.

CIDP related.
with damage to the Vagus Nerve affecting the GUT and UIT.
Performed Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy and collaboration with Neurologist./

Dr. Bond is an incredibly thorough and knowledge specialist.
His work is meticulous and his diagnosis and treatment plan is totally profession,
immaculate, I would say.

Furthermore, he an extremely pleasant and to-the-point person.

Total Respect !

This was a shockingly bad experience, personally one of the worst doctors period. Consults you for 5 minutes then sends you for a CT scan, after the scan brings you in again says you perfectly fine and then blames your chronic medication and basically offers no help, then we get the CT scan results to show a hernia as well as loops in the colon however Dr Bond said he went through the scan and everything is fine. He claims to be a doctor yet failed to see two major issues. Stay away and rather wait for another DR to see you. I saw negative comments about him but thought they were false however I can now personally believe all the negative comments after this shocking experience. R1400 for 10 minutes of false consulting. He also sends almost every patient in for CT scans all the patients waiting for him as I saw all the patients at the radiology centre while I was waiting for my CT scan to be done. Hope this will help some people. Take care and good luck

Dr Robert Bond ( gastroenterologist) at Unitas Hospital. I was seen by Dr bond for a colonoscopy and Gastroscopy. I took all my referal letter that i got from my GP. Upon completion of forms i mentioned that i had my gallblader removed. On the day on of the colon and gastroscopy I told the Dr more that 3 times that I do not have a gallbladder. After the procedure he told me that it might be my gall blader that makes me sick. HE told me that i had to go for a scan to look at the gall blader. I then again told him that i do not ave a gall bladder. HE then tore up the paper that I was suppose to go for the gall bladder. He send me for Ct scan . I then had a follow up appointment. He just mentioned that the procedure was a success. I asked him if he had a look at the CT scan that he send me for. And to my suprise he did not even have a look at it. I then give him my Copy and to explain what the report ment. He did not explain much. Just that my liver has calcification and that there is a calcification where my gall bladder was. As per him there is a growth with fluid and also calcification where my gall bladder was. HE then told me that he w=is going to Google the side affects of my Bipolar medication. I did mention that I know that the long term effects is because of my tablets. He then told me that I had to stop my bipolar mediccation for a month. Then start with the one tablet for a month. Then see what happens with my stomach probems. Then stop that tablet and Then start with another one. I told him that i can not just stop my medication. It took more than 10years to get the correct formulation of the bipolar medication that made me be abe to function as a normal person. HE then told me to go for a MRI scan. He never contacted me till today to follow up and explain to me what it showed and then what the plan will be going forward. This was another disappointment in a Dr that was suppose to be the best in his field. I had to make an appointment with my GP so that she can help me understand what the CT and MRI scan revealed. She was able to explain. But was furious that Dr Robert Bond wanted me to stop my Bipolar medication. PLEASE NOTE that i am aware of what the side affects of my medication is in the long term.

I really don't know who'd pay these patients to give this doctor good reviews? Me and my daughter had the worst experience, this is too long, and 5 weeks later to explain. I should contact my medical aid not to pay him, and the medical council to report him. The only good news is my daughter was admitted at the trama unit, and they identify the problem immediately and remove the COPPER DR BOND, with her galbladder which was black already. Thanks to Dr van Beljon.
