I went to him in hopes of getting 2 fill ins, but he said I needed a root canal or extraction. I chose the extraction, but he left me in more pain than I had when he started. Not only did he somehow loosen a good tooth, he left a very jagged tooth fragment behind that bled each time I ate and brushed my teeth. Between that and my wobbly tooth I had to go back..... He tried to tell me my tooth wasn't loose and gave me percocets 4 pain, saying that my body is healing great and come back if it continues so he could remove the rest of the tooth (that shouldn't have been left). Of course this huge piece of tooth continued to bleed and my "now" loose tooth continued to wobble. However, when I went back he refused to remove what he left, stating that my insurance didn't cover it. So... If you care about your teeth I wouldn't him. There's a fifty percent chance you could end up worse than when you started. I feel like it shouldn't be that hard to pull a tooth and he needs to give it up.

Initially, I was disappointed; however, I discovered that, due to lack of info from my referring dentist (no one was to blame, just lack of communication)I was a "suprise" referral and yet the staff was accomodating, courteous and sensitive to my fears - even though Dr. Blakely was not assured payment (in any form). Since then, I have been more than satisfied with each visit and Dr. Blakely's services. Even more commmendable, is his gentleness with the novacaine shots, which for me, says alot about his skills. Don't be put off by the office decor and/or location, it's his service that counts!

I went in for a root canal at 8 am. This is after the dentist canceling on me twice. I wasn't seen until 8:45 am. I was then told he could not perform the root canal and that I would need another appointment for it. I don't get numb easily so Dr. Blakeley numbed me a few times, more than a few. After the last needle was given, I got an instant throbbing headache, chest pains and my heart was racing. I had to be rushed to the ER. Long story shot I am okay but I will never see Dr. Blakeley again.

Dr. Blakely is a great dentist and has very low and easy payments for his patients. Though I have insurance through medicaid they do not cover surgical extractions, he took a chance and pulled my tooth anyway and said that if they wouldn't cover it it was free. What other dentist do you know that would do this? The office is a little getto, but being in the area it is, I do not think his patients mind, especially since his prices are so low and accepts most insurance plans. I am going to see him again soon for a replacement tooth and he is only charging me $500. No one can beat his prices.

I got my teeth pulled by him and I was only supposed to get one tooth pulled, but all by himself he decided to pull two teeth. I was totally unaware of this until I felt my tooth,(the wrong tooth) break in half while he was trying to pull it. Then he left fragments of the broken tooth in my gum and told me I was finished. Later that night a small abcess started to grow on the side of my gum where he had removed the teeth. I also noticed that ther was one refill on my antibiotic prescription that he gave me. I have never known a doctor or dentist to give out a refill for a 30 count antibiotic(or any antibiotic for that matter). I had all of my wisdom teeth pulled at the same time at a different office and I don't even remember bleeding very much if at all when I awakened from the anesthesia, but Mr. Blakely pulled two teeth within the same region of my mouth and I blead for about two hours straight, even though my discharge papers said that the bleeding was supposed to stop after 1hr.

I received porcelain crowns from him on my two front teeth in 2001. I never had a gap. Now I have almost a 1/16" gap. When I went back to him in 2003for him to repair them, he claimed he no longer excepted my insurance. But he never offered any sort of payment arrangements or discount to correct them.
