Avoid this Dr, he misdiagnosed me and was no help whatsoever, wouldnt look at my imaging or order any more definitive tests.
My referring dr, thankfully wasnt convinced by Dr Salama's diagnosis and referred me to
a different Surgeon. Within a week i had the correct diagnosis and was booked in for immediate surgery!
Dr Salama needs some more training, i have never ever had such trearment from a so
called medical professional... Very disappinting to say the least.
It seems i am not the only one who received an incorrect diagnosis by reading his other revews....😬

This surgeon is a true gentleman, so caring and professional. I am very grateful that he was my surgeon for an emergency surgery and consequent surgery. Can’t recommend highly enough. Dr Salama's Secretary Ros was so compassionate, caring with a lovely sense of humour.

I received an operation for an inguinal hernia on April 20, 2019, at the Ryde in Day Hospital from Dr. Salama from whom I had made the specialist visit and planned the surgery that had to be a simple and routine thing. I was in front of the door of the operating room waiting for them to call me and I heard some screams and strange shouts, In this message I do not want to add more but I was scared and disgusted by what I heard through the door. me and I was worried about him. I have thought many times about getting up from the medical stretcher and running away but unfortunately I didn't. After about 40 minutes the door opened and two nurses took me inside. They rolled me onto the bed, got an injection, counted to three and woke up in a small room. I immediately got up and went to the bathroom to check. To my disappointment at the point of the operation I felt a protuberance as before the surgery. I immediately called a nurse and asked her about the surgeon, but she told me that unfortunately she had already gone away. I explained the problem to her, she reassured me by telling me that it could be the gas used for the operation and that it would be resolved in a few days. The next night I was very sick so the next day I contacted the hospital. They reassured me that it was normal and that it would be resolved in a few days. After a few days I went to the hospital and two doctors examined me. The doctor finally deduced that the hernia was still there, the problem was not resolved, the hernia had not been repaired, but she told me that to be sure it was necessary to do a scan or an ultrasound. I waited more than an hour, when the doctor came back she told me that unfortunately the exams could not be done because the machinery was broken. I insisted because it seemed absurd, but the doctor told me that she couldn't do anything else, I had to go to my GP.
I returned from the GP who prescribed me an ultrasound which resulted in an unrepaired hernia. I went back to the surgeon, he denied it. Everything was ok for him. It's been about 3 years and this hernia hurts me so much and limits me in my work. I don't intend to go back to the same doctor because I don't trust anymore, then a hernia operated on the first time is a relatively simple operation but repairing a bad repair is a very difficult and dangerous job. What to say more? I certainly would never recommend it.

Dr Salama is a phenomenal surgeon, a highly qualified doctor and an incredibly attentive person. He embodies the qualities of a real doctor. Every patient for him is unique and he thoroughly approaches selecting the best method of care for each individual case.

It is clear that he pours his heart and soul into the care for each and every one of his patients. He saved my mothers live. Dr Salama came to the hospital to help out at all hours of the day - sometimes very early in the morning and even sometimes in the middle of the night.

His workday is not bound to an 8 hour shift and not restricted by holidays or vacations. The things Dr Salama can achieve in his 24 hour day far exceed what many other doctors can do. These are the characteristics of a world class surgeon who continuously prioritises the care of his patients.
Dr Salama is reliable, respectful and an incredibly warm person. Dr Salama is my highest recommendation as a specialist doctor. The patient will be in great hands.

I had horrible experience with Dr Yaser Salama and his secretary . He misdiagnosed me. The surgery and the treatment afterwards was completely useless because of the wrong diagnose and obviously the treatment. Moreover his secretary advised that after surgery my follow up appointment will cost me $280. Which happend to be a lie and it actually supposed to be free. After all I had to undergo another surgery with another (thank god) doctor who diagnosed me corectly and all been fixed within a month . Will never go there again.
