I'm sure a skilled surgeon but horrendous communication. I thought it was his office at the hospital but I think it's him. The lougheed hospital called for my initial appt. I get there and they tell me it was cancelled. Manage to fit me in quickly. Then the ultrasound place called and i did that appt. Then 4 mths later id heard nothing. But. My coworkers mom was dealing with same thing. Same dr. Ultrasound same week. Already had a follow up and treatment plan. So i called and they said they were catching up bc of covid.... sure. So get my appt for followup. Then he says within 10 days someone will call with surgery date. Call if they dont. Day 10 i call. Had to tell them what i was booking for! They should know the details already. Had surgery. Sheet said youll leave with appt or someone will call me a day or two after surgery. Pretty sure he said that too. Well i waited til the next friday and no call. No one answers so you play phone tag with voicemail. They say, and he told u 4-6 weeks? I said my sheet says 3-4. O. Hes not around much. I mentioned he said if i felt i was healing well I could do a phone appt, yes! they say, but there's no appts available until the next month, so at least 6 weeks post op. He says before i go in. Did i tell u u need a week off? Did u make arrangements? Ummm no! Then says ya 3 weeks. One off work. 2 working from home. Do u need a dr note? I wake up and see his note. A blank paper with his note. Like. Paper out of a printer blank. Then they fax my prescription to pharmacy across street. Well he didnt put a qty on it. They faxed back for qty. Never did get a response back

My Dad who was 87 had a leg amputation from Dr P Petrasek. He saved my Dad's life. My Dad was a very difficult patient and Dr P Petrasek was soooo good with him. Dr P Petrasek called me personally after the surgery and told me how it was and Dad made it out of it. It was a terrible experience but the Dr. made it so much easier to handle. Very good bedside manors & pleasant and outright Dr. Thank you very much.

The receptionist never calls back after leaving a message. You would think for something important like having to possibly re-schedule, they would actually call you back. Not very professional at all.

Dr. Petrasek performed a Varicose Vein Surgery for me on my left leg which went very smoothly. I was so impressed with the care I received at Canmore Hospital where the surgery was performed. Under Dr Petrasek’s excellent direction I came through with minimal pain and my recovery was without incident. Dr. Pet rasek is a highly skilled surgeon and an exceptionally compassionate human being. Thank you to Krista is Patient Coordinator who answered every question, returned calls promptly, resent paperwork, and communicated directly with Dr. Petrasek as needed. I am very grateful and very pleased with the excellent care I was so fortunate to have received. Thank you Dr. Petrasek.

Dr.Petrasek is simply amazing! After years of battling chronic pain, he diagnosed me, and quickly had me on my way to being pain free. Him and his entire staff at the Peter Lougheed Centre are awesome! Couldn't have asked for a better doctor, and this was after years of seeing many specialists in every field. If you have any vascular issues, this is the man to see!

i'm sure there is no way a patient could have any complaint with this gentleman, my experience with his surgery was exellent, if there is such a thing as 'exellent' surgery!! :)
