The thyroid medication I take is causing me lots of bad side effects.
He did not believe me nor wanted to believe me because I have been on the medication for a long time but if I miss taking the medication even just for a few days, I feel the pain lessening a lot in my shin bones, knees, shoulders, hips which to me is proof that it is the medication which is causing the pain.
One particular brand was causing me a lot of nausea as well, he did not believe me about that either.
He told me to go to a rheumatologist
He did not bother to send me for other tests.
I would not recommend this doctor, I came hoping to get some help and answers to my problem but I left feeling very disappointed.

The receptionist is nice though.

Dr Howe is wonderful. I’ve been seeing him regularly for 7 months now. Super punctual, reassuring and has clear plans. He also texts me blood results and tweaks medications if needed in between appointments. The reception team are awesome too; I often have to change appointments due to work commitments and it’s very easy to rebook. Definitely recommend Dr Howe!!!

I found I left knowing no more than when I went in. I asked a specific question about dosages of insulin and didn't get an answer. When I returned I was told that was too much. Last time I went was two days after my son was killed in a car accident. He said nothing. At the end of the appointment he said to come back when I was serious. I find him to be arrogant and uninformative. I felt anxious when my next appointment was coming up so I cancelled and won't return.

STOP LOOKING DR HOWE IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED. He is exceptional. I am new to the autoimmune club (29, female) and in our consultation Dr Howe was thorough and listened in-depth to all of my (at times repetitive) questions. Dr Howe took the time to walk me through my diagnosis, what the treatment plan looks like and put my mind at ease with questions around fertility and pregnancy in light of Hashimoto’s presentation. Sometimes we get scared and put our head in the sand which I think I did for a long time when I saw abnormalities in blood tests, I wish I found Dr Howe two years ago as I know his warmth, kindness and genuine care and accessibility to call him if my side effect profile is worrying me, would have made me feel so much better about it all. I won’t be going anywhere else and I have found my Endocrinologist for life. Zsuzsanna in reception is also amazing - so welcoming and you feel an exhale after talking with her that everything is going to be okay now. Thank you for everything Dr Howe. Chantelle

doesn't engage or make eye contact too much ..like he is somewhere else ...Ive had 3 appointments, on the last appointment half of the appointment time was spent listening to him on the phone talking to another patients problem ... didn't do anything that my general practitioner had already done (local GP) .. my chronic fatigue exhaustion continues 3 years later with years of blood works to verify problem ...go elsewhere i will be

Terrible body language from receptionist. ‘Do you care about how much your Medicare rebate is?’
What sort of question is that to ask a 23 year old patient that can barely afford his appointment. Very dissatisfied with this blonde lady’s service.
No complaints about Dr Howe himself.
