John has been my doctor for too many years now to count. He is always very knowledgeable and friendly and really listens to my concerns. He is great with my kids and parents as well.

I have been his patient for over 20 years along with my other family members, we all have great admiration for his skills, care, his very evident concern, and thoroughness. 15 years ago I went through a very traumatic physical setback and he’s been there for me every juncture during the extended process period of treatments, therapy & numerous updates for various supporting incomes. His two receptionist’s also are the best and have been very supportive as well through this process.

Have had ongoing bowel issues for over a year now and the doctor keeps telling me that it’s just anxiety. Expect this is effecting my whole house hold so it’s not just anxiety. He doesn’t really seem to care about his patients or care to find out what’s really going on with them. My 2 children were supposed to have an appointment next week for a check up to make sure they are doing good but he sent an email today saying that he is unable to help with my “ongoing health issues” that he isn’t helping with at all and recommended we find a new family doctor. If you have any type of health issues whatsoever I highly recommend going to almost any other doctor and you will receive better care. He’s also known for googling things when we doesn’t have an answer( which is very often). Save your self and find a better doctor!

Just google things yourself that’s what he does! First time I went I had a simple question related to pregnancy he said “let me google it”. Then when I needed an anxiety and insomnia prescription (already diagnosed) he ordered a prescription for depression that has the two top side effects of ANXIETY AND INSOMNIA! When I told him there’s a lump in my breast he told me “sometimes moms just need to get used to lumpy boobs” without checking the lump. He also cancels your appointments the day of almost every time, I eventually got angry with his very rude receptionist when she wanted me to pay after missing an appointment after he canceled the day of. Thankfully today he sent a letter saying he was unable to solve my health issues and I should find a new doctor

Good luck Look at test results yourself because he won’t. I was lucky, after being neglected, I called for a blood test. Thank god he was off the day the results came in. Another doctor ordered a special test after seeing my blood work. I had the test in November. Never heard a word. I called to book another appointment for a cat scan results in February. I asked about the JAK test. Carol ( the pit bull at the desk) says “ it’s positive. You need to see a hematologist. Wonderful so i have cancer but he didn’t look at the results because he didn’t order the test. The other doctor didn’t because im not her patient. I guess the cat scan was a waste of time too. My wife experienced the same thing. Fighting cancer for four years. Once again they found a mass on her liver but he never looked at the report.
Only God will save you as he did me. If you are lucky and he likes you maybe you’ll live.

My father and mother are both in their 80s and we have some serious issues happening with cancer and other issues he has not reached out with test results or any help to make sure that they ok it really angers me as a caregiver

I’ve been a patient of Doc John since he came to Powassan ON. Never thought I would have a doctor that actually cared enough about every health issue I have. I hit the jackpot with Doc John. I can’t thank him enough for walking through everything with me and keeping me calm going through medical issues. He isn’t a pill pusher and that I love about him and his practice. I trust him with my life and know he will always do everything in his power to help. He explains everything in terms I can understand and makes sure I understand it. I adore Kerri and her kind heart. Carol has always been respectful when I call for an appointment. I will never find a better caring team. Plus I let him be the Doctor since he is the professional but he always takes into consideration my opinions. Thank you Doc John and team

His practice started well when he opened but as time went by he became indifferent. High cholesterol and high blood pressure were not treated or even reported to us. Add chest pain and family history of heart disease to this combination and you should have sufficient medical education to send your patient to the hospital or at least to an urgent stress test ...... but it did not and the results were catastrophic. Our family with never be the same. If a physician cannot send their patient to the hospital with symptoms such as these they should take their Medical degree off the wall. In summary, there is no preventive care at his clinic but you can get great guilt filled post trauma care if you survive your crisis. Find a physician in Southern Ontario and make the drive. Its worth it. If you can't then take care of yourself by doing your research, visit the walk in clinics, and try to ignore Carrie, Our family changed clinics and all our health issues that were ignored before have been professionally addressed. It's eye opening when you can compare Dr. Seguin and his clinic to other physicians who really want to connect the dots and prevent disease.

John is an awesome doctor and I love Kerri too. His receptionist Carol, not so much. She is rude on the phone and makes you feel like you are wasting her time, and recently she cancelled one of my appointments and didn’t bother calling me to tell me so I showed up to a closed office with nobody there. No apology either.

John is fantastic though and I’m glad to have him as a doctor.

We have always been very pleased with the high level of commitment and care from Dr. Seguin and his staff. Very glad to state he is my family doctor.
