Had my 1st consultation with Dr. Retief. He went through - a thorough research of my past, checked my physical ability, spent a long time regardless of others in the waiting room and I found him to be absolutely dedicated, conservative and a worldly top Doctor. (Especially after having seen other Neurosurgeons).

5vears on and I'm unable to work due to the increasing side affects of my spinal fusion. It had ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY ruined my life. He never told me bout any post op physio etc. He said rest and you will be fine. I can't sleep because the nerve damage is now permanent and I pee some days 105 times due to the nerve damage. Thank you Dr, you have LITERALLY destroyed my life

After a traumatizing accident, Dr Ratief was open and honest about the outcomes of a life threatening surgery, through the mercy of God and Dr Ratiefs gift everything went off smoothly. We are forever grateful for his help and compassion. He advises openly and does not just rely on surgery .

Dr Retief is a top notch Neurosurgeon with an amazing manner. I really didn't think there were still such compassionate doctors around any more. I recommend him very highly. He has such a down to earth manner and really listens and gets brilliant results.

Thank goodness for Dr Retief! He diagnosed my problem when nobody else could! He is an incredible person and doctor! His bedside manner is superb, he has a wonderful sense of humor, he explains everything clearly and doesn't push you to make a specific option for treatment! He cares about his patients and I would recommend him to anyone who is faced with neuro conditions!

I saw Dr Retief last week post-CT scan, besides being disorientated and feeling awful; he and his receptionist treated me so well. He was kind and gentle and thorough and really assisted in diagnosing me accurately and making the appropriate referrals. He has a wonderful bedside manner. Thank you!

Dr Retief removed a tumour from my brain in August 2021. I was comfortable throughout the entire process, as he explained the condition and the surgery process in a way that showed his knowledge, compassion and humanity. I knew at all times that I was in excellent hands, and not for a minute thought that anything would go wrong - and I was 100% correct. Dr Retief is an amazing and knowledgeable surgeon and a wonderful person.
