We were referred to this doctor by the ER department at Burnaby Hospital. He mis diagnosed a very critical yet clear issue with my father's ears and asked us to stop taking his antibiotics. We were lucky we did not trust his judgement and went to VGH emergency where immediately admitted my father and put him on IV antibiotics which saved his life. Had we followed this doctor's instructions, my father would have to deal to extreme complications that could be fatal. This doctor should not be allowed to practice.
So please - STAY AWAY.

Casey Manarey has no bedside manners. He was so disrespectful. I needed an ear cleaning. I had already been to a dermatologist regarding my psoriasis and both my GP and derm had told me that the psoriasis was a big reason why my ears were hurting. Casey Manarey told me it's because I use q tips to clean my ears. I told him that my ears hurt so much that I wasn't cleaning them with q tips and was only using oil to try and get the wax out. When he started cleaning my ears, I told him that it was hurting and he simply did not respond initially. When I told him again he said 'thats what you get for using q tips'. He had patients before and after me who were caucasian who he greeted very well, and he did not greet me at all. I am not sure if that was a factor as I am not caucasian. I will not call him a doctor as that term requires respect and part of the doctor for which I did not receive from Casey.

Dr Manarey was worth the wait. He fixed my nose that I hadn't realized I broke 30 years before. THe pushed my turbinates back and corrected my septum. The final result was incredible. I can now get a decent breath and colds do little to congest me. I've had multiple surgeries for vaious ailment. Bar none, this was the.most uncomfortable proceedure I've had. The first week post surgery was tough until the splints were removed. Dr. Manarey prescribed decent analgesics, so pain wasn't a problem. He's is straight talking, to the point, works swiftly and left me feeling confident in his work. Some folks might find him abrupt, but he was nothing but excellent with me. I would not hesitate to see him again, or to recommend him.

If I could give negative stars, I would. POS ENT quack who wouldn't know a throat from someone's a**ss-hole. Told my daughter to drive 600km because he found something on an MRI, knowing full well that we live far away and don't have a specialist up there. She went into the appointment and came out 2 minutes later. He told her the MRI was fine and she probably has a runny nose (meanwhile she has all the symptoms of CFL)

Dr Manarey is a thorough professional He explains your problem and walks you through your issues He may seem brusque but that's because he's there to get the job done. I suffered through numerous surgeries following a 1972 work injury splitting my septum In 2022 I had 3 sinus infections one of which resulted in an emergency hospital visit. Dr Manarey's surgery have left me feeling more able to breathe than I have in 50 years Can't say enough about how this has changed my life His assistant Andrea is also a delight

To copy another comment.."Dr. Manarey is knowledgeable, professional and direct". Having seen him several times and having had surgery with him I can see how people may incorrectly think he may not quite the "sensitive" or "understanding", but the reality is he's really good and is direct, with little time to waste. I'd take him any day over someone less experienced with a "softer" approach. Everyone's looking for perfection you can't always have everything. If his approach doesn't work for you, I wish you better luck with someone else.

After having surgery by him that didn’t work, he scoffed at alternative methods. I can understand if he doesn’t care to look into them but to scoff at a patient in the manner that he did is rude, unprofessional and shows his disgusting ego. Then he proceeds to heartlessly tell me there’s nothing I can do about my dry nose. Definitely needs to work on his bedside manner which starts with learning to be a better human.

Dr. Manarey is knowledgeable, professional and direct, I've seen him for years without issue. My experience with the office staff has always been awful, she is incredibly rude, her over all demeanor would suggest she hates her job.
