Biography
Dr. Currie graduated from McGill University with first class honours in Biochemsitry and received his DDS from the University of Western Ontario, graduating with distinction. Since graduation Dr. Currie has received additional training in surgery, dental implant therapy, cosmetic dentistry and complex dental rehabilitation.

I was looking for a new dentist and chose Dr. Currie. I was experiencing severe pain from an existing bridge that my previous dentist fitted. In fact, the original bridge was replaced by a second bridge by my original dentist before I met Dr. Currie. Still, the second bridge was no better than the first and the pain was unrelenting.
Dr. Currie recommended that I have x-rays, a check of all my teeth and then have a review meeting to discuss my dental health, options available to me and to develop a plan to resolve the bridge in particular. Dr. Currie explained his thoughts in detail and at one point my husband joined us to ask questions and share his concerns.
Dr. Currie explained the full procedure and left the decision up to me. Dr. Currie is thorough, explains in detail each step of the process; he will not rush your decision, and is attentive to your questions and concerns. He is up-to-date on procedures and is adeptly precise in his work. He is a kind and friendly person and if you let him know that you are nervous before a procedure, he takes extra care to make you feel at ease.
So, I chose to have a new bridge made from the latest materials and expertly fitted by Dr. Currie. Finally, after 4 years of suffering, I am now pain free with a new bridge that fits my mouth properly thanks to Dr. Currie’s skill and knowledge!
Veronica was the tech who assisted Dr. Currie with the procedure and was very reassuring with her gentle manner.
Angela and Monica greet you as you come into the office with a smile and a “hi, how are you”. When making appointments they try to accommodate your schedule.
Erika is my hygienist who is very friendly too and makes you feel comfortable with her cheerful smile.
Paula has assisted with a procedure and also makes you feel at ease. She sat down with me to give me information that I had requested and is very helpful.
With the onset of Covid 19 Dr. Currie has had glass doors installed on all exam and procedure rooms and each station is sanitized after every use. Each suite also has an air purifier installed and the dental office follows safety protocols at each step of their service process.
I would not hesitate in recommending Dr. Currie and his friendly staff at Pearl Dental.
