Dear Al Abdali Hospital
I am writing this letter to bring this important issue into the notice of administration and management of this hospital. I want to file a complaint against Dr. Ghassan Al Alami as his behavior towards patients is very unethical. I don’t think he follows the certain rules or obligations as a doctor as he does not have the basic empathy as a physician who committed to an oath.
I went to him yesterday with my son who is suffering from shoulder and Knee pains. He examined his shoulder and when it came to his knee he said that he needs to take another appointment to check it for him! At the end of the session, I asked if I could consult him about my shoulder pain (as I already have a file in the hospital) and that I will pay for double consultation fees (for me and for my son). To my astonishment, his response was (emmm....sorry! you have to take an appointment)
I have shared my experience with many doctors I know and they were all astonished from such unprofessional, unethical and apathetic behavior from a physician.
I come from a medicine family and I have visited many doctors in my life but never experienced such inhuman treatment from a physician

Strongly knowledgable, informative and confident doctor who is keen to please his patients and put them at ease. Ive conducted surgery with Dr Ghassan to remove my Osteochondroma and it was a speedy recovery. Many thanks

I was very fortunate to have Dr Alami take my case from a fall off a ladder in August of 2016. I have a broken fibula and multiple fractures to my tibial plateau and tibia. Dr. Alami was so kind and helpful with explanations and solutions to literally "put me back together" . I had to go through two surgeries at the Orthopedic Center, Saint Jerome Hospital to first externally fixate my leg, then 11 days later, reduction and internal fixation of my tibial plateau. (ORIF). These were detailed surgeries requiring great skill and knowledge of the knee / lower leg. Being an athlete and avid swimmer, I wanted the best option to allow me to return to a fully functional life after my recovery. Dr. Alami, was so helpful explaining my options and the outcomes long term. His OR staff was top notch and I made it through both surgeries with few complications. I still have a long recovery in front of me and Dr. Alami has continued to keep in touch with me on my progress even though I have returned to Colorado, USA. Because of his skill and excellent surgical abilities, I have great faith I will make a full recovery from this devastating injury. I can't thank him enough for great care I received while I was in the hospital. I highly recommend him for acute traumatic injury evaluation and resolution.

Mon bras gauche était non fonctionnel et extrêmement douloureux depuis des années. Dr. Alami m'a été recommandé comme étant LE spécialiste des remplacements d'épaule. Il m'a opérée à l'épaule gauche en décembre 2013. Il a donné de très bonnes explications sur la pose d'une prothèse totale, de façon très compréhensible et humaine tout en ne me promettant pas de miracle. Après l'opération il est revenu me voir pour m'expliquer qu'il avait finalement opté pour une prothèse totale inverse en cours de chirurgie et qu'il était très fier de son travail. Et il a fait un véritable miracle: je n'ai plus aucune douleur et j'ai récupéré toute la mobilité possible. Je recommande à tous ce médecin chaleureux et plus que compétent. Je vais repasser sous son bistouri pour le remplacement de l'épaule droite dans quelques mois et je me sens en totale confiance.

As a result of a ski accident, I had multiple, complex fractures in my leg. The doctor at Ste. Agathe hospital contacted St. Jerome hospital so a surgical team led by Dr. Alami could operate. I was lucky to be seen that evening and was most impressed with Dr. Alami's thorough explanation as to the procedure and what I can expect. He showed respect for my environmental sensitivity to cell phones and all cell phones were turned off in my presence, which had a positive effect on my recovery. I appreciated Dr. Alami's patient explanations and was satisfied with his answers to my questions. I also appreciated his post -op tips to help me regain flexibility. He listens carefully to his patients and does his best to provide physical comfort and reassurance. He is a brilliant surgeon and has good relationship with patients.

My wrist was severely fractured as a result of a figure skating accident. The doctor at the Ste Agathe hospital determined that I needed to be operated by an orthopedic surgeon. The Ste Agathe doctor contacted St. Jerome hospital and Dr. Alami agreed to see me that day and complete the surgery. As I was leaving the Ste Agathe hospital, the receiving doctor told me that I was in excellent hands. His assessment of Dr, Alami's skill was not misplaced. Dr. Alami saw me at 7:00 p.m. that day. The surgery was extensive and required several months of recuperation and rehabilitation. As a consequence of the fall I also needed to have a tendon transplant to replace the tendon that lifts the thumb. Dr. Alami offered to do this surgery since he had dealt with the fracture. The healing has progressed well. Aside from his surgical skill, what I appreciated most was Dr. Alami's willingness to explain in detail the fracture and subsequent surgeries. He was also willing to answer questions related to bone health and density. I was reassured by his confident responses. Dr. Alami has also extended an offer to meet with me should I have any lingering concerns about the recovery process. I felt that I was an active participant in the whole process. I have scored a 5 on punctuality although we did have to wait beyond the time of the appointment. I saw Dr. Alami in the outpatients clinic, so a delay was not unexpected. I would also have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Alami. I extend my thanks for your care.
