My mom fell off a combine onto the auger and was rushed to the er in Peguis to close the wound on her head. My mom gave Bonnie Woolford the ok to shave her head which she didn't. She stitched the wound with hair in it. She missed stitches and did request a CAT scan or MRI as she could have had complications such as concussion or hematoma. She was dripping wet in water and blood and sat on the cold metal table, shivering. She went home with hardened blood throughout her hair. Luckily we have a nurse in the family and she took a look at it a day later and insisted that she go back and see another dr. He opened up the wound, cleaned it and packed it. He requested a CAT scan. He referred her Winnipeg, Health Sciences Center to the plastics department where they unpacked her and stitched her up. We have disturbing photos of her injury and how she botched a simple stitching. She lacks common sense, clean the wound and cut the hair, request CAT scan, as it was a head trauma.
