Early morning, at about 5 am on Tuesday, September 13th, 2022, I experienced sudden chest pain, slight nausea, and extreme fatigue. My husband drove me to Emergency at the Kentville Hospital, as I was possibly having a heart attack. Registration completed, I was taken by wheelchair to a secluded area containing a large comfortable chair. Nurses questioned my health history, checked my vitals, and an ECG of my heart was done. Dr. Bruce McLeod soon introduced himself. He appeared confident and listened intently as I described the pain. The doctor explained clearly his estimation of possible causes, electing to do a chest x-ray, extensive bloodwork, and later a CT Scan to rule out an Aortic tear. His care was exceptional! His expertise was greatly demonstrated in precise decision-making, with clear explanations to me. The team of nurses and technicians worked diligently in busy, crowded spaces. I am extremely thankful to Dr. Bruce McLeod for his excellent care. You are a fine doctor. I instinctively knew that I was in good hands.

This dr had the audacity to laugh in my face when I told him I couldn’t afford to go have my tooth pulled right away and almost wouldn’t give me an antibiotic to deal with the infection I’ve been dealing with in my tooth. He laughed and said “ha, you and everyone else.” I sat in the ER for 6 hours just to be treated with complete disrespect and the antibiotic I was prescribed did nothing but give me a stomach ulcer. I wish they would fire this guy, years ago I went in with a cyst on my tailbone and he told me to go home and drain it myself!!!!

Brought my young grandson in who has been running a high fever for almost 72 hours and tested positive for covid. Instead of being reassuring he was condescending and very rude. They have posters all over the ER walls about resurrecting the staff. Respect works both ways. 👌

I was under the care of Dr. McLeod yesterday after a running accident. The whole ER seemed calm and quiet despite all the patients who were seen in an orderly manner. I received excellent care and took notice of how well Dr. McLeod and his assistant ?(Dr. S Church) treated all the patients. They were kind, took lots of time to explain diagnosis, treatment and follow up. Lots of respect for all patients. Lovely doctors.

A very kind, patient and knowledgeable doctor. The day I saw him he had a student doctor working with him, she too was very kind, patient and professional. Thumbs up on you both!

If it hadn't been for Dr McLeod I feel my husband would not be alive today.Because he was puzzled as to what was wrong with him he sent him to YRH where he was seen by an internal medicine Dr. He is now in the CCU unit at Halifax Infirmary where he is hopefully recovering. After his 3rd time at the ER in Digby someone finally knew it was serious!

I have had the misfortune to see Dr. McLeod twice in the last six months. He has been absolutely fabulous. He is knowlegable, forthright, and no nonsense. Totally unflappable, I would trust him with my life, no question.
