If zero star is possible, I would have assigned this to Dr. Joy R. Murphy. Dr. Joy R Murphy is the most prejudiced and most unprofessional Dr. that I have ever met. She makes prejudiced and stereotyped comments to her patients, especially black women. She has no real interest of patient at heart. She makes comments which I never discussed with her on my medical record especially if you are someone of color. She does not listen carefully to you to address your concerns and just make biased assumptions. Most of this goes into your record and most importantly, now becomes difficult for me to correct, after I requested for my record and found this out.
She gives unprofessional advice and opinions (comments and complaints that should be outside of her jurisdiction/service). I thought I was been clouded by my thought, but after meeting with other students who consulted with her at the University of Kansas Watkins health center and they made the same comments and complaints, it became obvious to me that I am processing things correctly and my observations/concerns are correct. I would avoid soliciting her service and if she cannot be avoided, I will advice that you be cautious with her and do your DD in accessing and overseeing your medical information/records.

She is the best doctor I have ever had. She listens to you and your concerns and does anything to help you feel better in a way that is comfortable to you. I haven't been to her new office yet so I can't comment on the staff or the punctuality.

She is the best doctor I have ever been to.. very helpful.. caring.. takes the time to discuss anything you want to get off your chest.. was great during my pregnancy and birth! and now she will be the family doctor. Heck.. you can even call her at night through and answering service if there is a problem and you want to ask her a question! just a really great person/doctor! The office visits take awhile because she does take her time with each customer. But it is way worth it!

I love Dr. Murphy. She was my doctor throughout my first pregnancy and was doctor to both my son and daughter. I always knew I could ask her anything and get an honest and non-judgmental answer, even to the "dumb" questions.

Dr. Murphy is very empathetic. She is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, answers all questions. I highly recommend her as a family doctor.

Dr. Murphy was wonderful throughout my pregnancy. She answers any questions you have even before you ask them, and is a pethroa of medical information. I strongly recommend her to anyone pregnant or expecting.
