Allan moved to the Pass while I was making a family with Dr. J. The first time I saw him I knew something wasn't right. The smug look on his face has been removed.

Dr Garbutt was my primary doctor for many years and saw me through many health issues. I trusted his advice and missed his expertise when I moved away. I wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.

This Doctor should not be in the medical profession. I went to emergency with severe abominable pain was was promptly admitted to the seating area. After waiting for approximately one hour my pain was becoming so unbearable I was becoming extremely frighted and concerned. At that point I went to speak with Dr Garbutt - hunched over - and told him it was so bad that I feared passing out and his response was - well don't pass out here go back to your seat - WOW!!! Avoid this Doctor at all costs. I have never in my entire 62 years on this earth been treated so badly by a Doctor !!!

This so-called doctor simply SHOULD NOT BE a Doctor.. He is arrogant,ignorant and talks down to 99% pf people who have TRULY needed MEDICAL ATTENTION!! Pretty much EVERYONE that I have talked to has had at LEAST 1 very negative and NON-HELPFUL event with him. I was VERY,VERY sick and desperately needed mefical attention and even though I hadnt had a drink of alcohol in MANY years, his diagnosis was that I had just had too much to drink the night before and therefore"deserved to suffer" once HE made this assumption,based on absolutely NO FACTUAL evidence to support that claim, he then proceeded to treat me like scum and let me lay there and suffer and refused to help me until my husband spoke up fpr me cuz I could not stand up for myself at the time! My mother(who was horrified at his verbal assault) could NOT believe how he had talked to me and was very upset that I did not write a statement of what transpired and at least report it . My daughter who will barely take an Advil or Aspirin,had REALLY injured her back and was in SO MUCH PAIN,that she felt she HAD to go to the hospital, She was literally in tears from the pain she was in. So, Dr. SUPERMAN was on call and asked her what "her problem was" and she told him. He then proceeded to "PROFILE" her as a "Drug-seeker" and verbally assaulted her as well. He did not offer ANY help whatsoever and humiliated her to the point that she felt WORSE than before she went in and was now crying even harder. She(to this day) was traumatized enough that when she actually needs any kind of medical attention, will not go in to ask for help as she no longer has any trust for hospital care or physicians. As a mother, this bothers me immensely..because when my daughter is sick or badly hurt,she should be able to comfortably walk in to ANY clinic or "care" facility and should feel like she will be CARED FOR!! I find this behaviour DISGUSTING and DISTURBING and cold,cruel and ATROCIOUS!!AND BELIEVE ME when I say, 'I know of SO many others that have told me they would be happy to put their own personal,horrible interactions with this (DR.) in writing and put their signature on it and hopefully have him removed completely OR at least treat people with care ,humility and compassion!! I would like to give a fair rating, but their are no ZERO options.. So,I guess I have to give him an UNDESERVING 1 STAR .. So sad!

I feel Safe and Secure in Dr. Garbutt's Care. He is Kind and Understanding! I am a Female and can talk to him about anything without feeling uncomfortable!
