I've been going here several years now, even though i no longer live in the area. I've gone thru many dentists in the Queens and NYC area, and Dr. Shin and her associates have been able to clear up some really difficult (and painful) issues that no other dentists before were able to achieve. I mean painful, re-occurring dental issues (apicos gone bad, route canals, posts, etc. I realize that I've had some challenging issues to straighten out, but she competently and systemically went thru and fixed them... permanently. The wait isn't too bad, only if i needed to come in for an emergency visit. Wish i would have found her 10 years ago.

In general, attitide of staffs and doctors are friendly. But, reservation is always overbooked and I have to wait minimum 15 min to 40 min with no exception. Doctors are good at the minor treatment, but not confident for serious surgical treatment. And, doctors over-estimate themselves.

She is amazing been going to her for over 10 years. I even travel from Brooklyn now to see her in Queens. I even got my husband to go to her too. Very gental, and great staff. Give her a try.

Dr. Shin is an excellent dentist with a very kind hearted pragmatic nature as well. She has filled several deep cavitites w/o much pain, an experience I hadn't had in many years with a previous dentist. She is interested in you as a person and it's not the 'act' that health professionals often put on just to get through the day. Her office and clinical staff are friendly and professional and all are bi-lingual in Korean and English. If there is any downside, it that it may take several weeks to schedule a regular appointment. But this is an indication of how popular and well thought of Dr. Shin is in the dental community.
