Making wonderful recovery after Mitral Valve surgery by Prof Lars Nolke and his team
at Mater Private. From the first meeting, Prof Nolke put me at ease, explained everything and my surgery was scheduled within a few weeks. I was so well taken care of, and had no complications, and my 6wk review with Prof Nolke assured me that all is well and I cannot thank him enough. Aside from technical brilliance, he has a very pleasant and reassuring demeanour, which went a long way to making me feel confident that I had found the right man for the job. Eternally grateful.

Dr. Nolke performed a double valve 'ross procedure' on me at the end of April 21 in the blackrock clinic. He also completed a pectus excavatum repair as part of the same surgery which involved breaking and re-setting 4 sets of ribs.

From initial meeting, to agreeing what 'plan a' and 'plan b' would be both myself and my wife found Lars to be very professional, friendly and easy to speak with. All questions (and I had lots.......) were answered over 2 consults pre-surgery and the plan B Ross (eventhough a complex surgery having had OHS as a child) has so far yielded the results we both hoped for.

I would highly recommend Lars especially to those 'younger' valve replacement patients looking for an alternative to the mechanical/tissue valves which are normally the 1st suggestion of most cardiothoracic surgeons in Ireland and both of which in my view are less desirable than a successful Ross.

Amazing surgeon amazing man. He is so kind. Explains everything so well and takes his time despite being extremely busy. He was so approachable and we felt totally safe when he preformed 2 surgeries on our daughter. Highly recommend him

I had a quadruple cardiac bypass in July of 2018. Mr. Lars Nolke and his team undertook this complex procedure. The results were excellent and 12 weeks later I feel fine and am about to begin cardiac rehab. Mr Nolke is an excellent surgeon and has been a pleasure to deal with.
