Stay away from Dr. George Fielding if you want to live.
This is the worst doctor ever. People die after his surgeries. Dr. George Fielding has killed several people in Australia and in the US. First after his surgery you suffer in the NYU Langone hospital for several days as your condition gets worse and worse. During that suffering Dr. Fielding disappears and abandons you. And then you die slowly but surely because of the mistakes that he made during the surgery. A member of my family passed away after Dr. Fielding's surgery. His license should be revoked. Don't ever go to this doctor! I would give zero stars in the rating, if there was such an option available. Also the NYU Langone ICU staff of the Kimmel Pavilion in Manhattan NY is the worst - they made the suffering of the victim of malpractice even more horrible and painful.

I would like to warn everyone who is considering Dr. Fielding as a doctor for a surgery. This doctor has had multiple malpractice cases against him in Australia and in US. Few patients died because of his malpractice. Do a research online and read how many patients were harmed by this doctor… My mother and I ignored this fact and relied only on recommendation of another NYU doctor to make a decision to let Dr Fielding perform a surgery on my mom. Today I regret so much that We picked him for a surgery - I lost my mother due to his malpractice. Do not listen to recommendations from another doctors. It’s all business for them. Find another doctor.
I miss my mother now due to negligence and incompetence of Dr Fielding and entire NYU Langone ICU Staff.

I couldn't be happier with the care I get with Dr. George Fielding and all his staff. I have seen some PA's, Nurses and Dr. Ren. All have given me nothing but top notch advice. Everyone was kind and explained everything to me very well. I would highly recommend Dr. Fielding to anyone. He was recommended to me by several people and I plan on recommending him and his staff to everyone. He has several locations in other boroughs. They really do help make it easier for follow ups.

Dr. Fielding is the best Doctor in the world. He is the best surgian and most compassionate person I ever meet. I had my bypass surgery with him over 4 years now and lost all my weight. I look great and I still see him because I just love him!!! Thanks Dr Fielding for giving me a life! Jenny B.

like a factory. weight loss is not one size fits all. the staff is awful awful awful in every way. but most is he is a bad doctor pushing for outdated ineffective procedure. probably bec then he gets more money when he does a revision. STAY AWAY!!!

Dr. Fielding was wonderful to me. He answered all my questions regarding a revision and set me up within a few weeks for surgery. He was very attentive before and after surgery, I was well taken care of at NYU by the staff as well as, the Doctor. I would recommend him to others and am quite happy with the care I received then and the continuous care I receive from him in his office.

Appalling experience with him in Australia. It was just like an assembly line. I had standing appointments with him where we had to get all the questions and answers done while he weighed you then you were out the door and paying the bill. I had severe complications which were not taken seriously by the clinic and I had to get another surgeon who saw me to refer me to an infection specialist to get it sorted. His now ex-wife in Australia has had to do years of follow up care and she is excellent! He no longer operates here.

I must disagree with anyone that says Dr. Fielding "disappears" after surgery is way off. On the contrary. I had the lap band done by him 7 years ago. The follow up is incredible! They come to Rockland county, snd several other locations SUNDAYS EVERY MONTH! Just to make it easier for patients to follow through will fills or even taking out. In addition, they have wonderful patient outreach. "Eating with George" gives patients opportunities to go to resteraunts and help choose band friendly meals. Also, they have a dinner cruise every year and celebrate and socialize ans revel in their patients accomplishments. I dare you to find any other surgeons who do what this office does.,I am lucky to have him, and everyone in that office assist in my medical care . Any other questions? Didn't think so.
