VERY SLOW ON REFILLS AND FRUSTRSTING PHONE SYSTEM AT PACMED MAKES ME THINK OF CHANGING DOCS

Dr. Wemple does maintain a professional distance that can be disconcerting at first. Once she gets to know you, she is warmer and she is also very honest. Painfully honest. Which was helpful to a point. I didn't always hear what I liked but sometimes that was needed. She did express some frustration that I must not be taking my meds or I would be feeling better--which was not the case. My immune system is just gunky, I guess. As a researcher, she is highly knowledgable. I have to say though that there is just no replacing Dr. Jan Hillson--my old Rheumie. And Dr. Wemple is on 1st Hill, which is quite a drive from my house. So I changed doctors. This probably wasn't my best move, but at the time, my child was dealing with life threatening lung disease so I looked for someone closer. I have sent people to her in the past and would do so in the future. In my experience, there are only a handful of rheumies in this town worth trusting

Dr Wemple did not listen to me, was very hurried, and dismissed symptoms I thought were very important. She diagnosed me, but did not explain anything about the disease, and refused to prescribe any pain relief.

Highly regarded doc with excellent knowledge regarding RA. She is honest without being overbearing, thoughtful while maintaining professional distance, listens well and responds accordingly.
