I have read the reviews on this site and they are almost all negative. From my experience with Dr. George Middleton I could not agree more. He enjoys causing people pain. He is rude beyond all reason. My kidney stone retrieval involved untold and unnecessary pain, a blood infection and three trips to the emergency room. After I finally went to a competent Urologist he told me that he would recommend anyone he knew to avoid Dr. Middleton, but if I repeated it he would deny it. The man should not be practicing medicine.

Don't go to this doctor for a prostrate biopsy. My husband passed out and he had no way to revive him. They had to send him to ER where he spent 7 hours. It seems like if a doctor is going to do biopsies in his office he should work better to make sure the patient is ok. There was no oxygen available in the office or other lifesaving things. This was the most upsetting part. In addition, he is crude in his decency to the patient. When he walked in, my husband was draped and he pulled the drape off and threw it on the floor. When it pulled the ultrasound wand out of his rectum with blood running down it, he just set it back in the holder. I will not use this doctor again. I am cautioning all others against going to him.

Dr. Middleton tried to retrieve a kidney stone in my teenaged daughter and ended up pushing it back up into the kidney. He placed a stent in the ureter which made her very, very nauseous and in much pain. We ended up taking her to the ER because she became dehydrated. The ER doc spoke with him on the phone and he said for us to bring her into the office very early (6:30 am) the next day. We went at the appointed time and his office was closed. When we finally did see him the following morning, he was extremely rude and very rough with my daughter. This man should just give it up! I wouldn't send my worst enemy to him.

May be a good Dr., but definitely has small man syndrome. Places those he may be jealous of for any reason in what he hopes will be uncomfortable situations. Left me in stirrups in exam room naked from waist down while he paraded interns, nurses, and probably even office help past me. Nurse finally gave me a washcloth to cover up with, and he came in and ripped it away visibly angry. The nurse shook her head disgusted like it happened all the time. Very arrogant during the exam and visibly belittled me (shaking his head and mumbling)for asking questions, as if I wasn’t intelligent enough to warrant an answer. Real jerk. Maybe he has GROWN up in some way since my experience. Wouldn't go back even if he was the best.

My husband had three prostate biopsies with Dr Middleton. He was extremely rough and my husband came close to passing out each time. Dr. Middleton just said "you're tough, you can take it". There was nothing for relaxation or for pain. It was just like a lineup in the Marine Corp. I even offered to do his (the doctor's) next exam with a 2/4. We just thought that was the way it had to be until we went to a real doctor who had a little compassion while doing this extremely uncomfortable procedure.

I do not care for Dr. Middleton at all! He is not a people-person, although he painfully tries to seem like one and it is just awkward. I always feel uncomfortable around him. I have been seeing him for about a decade but after the last time finally made the decision to find someone else. The last time I went was for a prostate exam, and he had a female intern with him. I've been to other doctors who had an intern, and they've *always* asked if it was ok to have the intern sit in on the appointment. Dr. Middleton didn't give me the option. Even worse, when he was done with the prostate exam he told me to keep bent over because she was going to do it to me too. I'm not a bashful person, so the fact the she did it didn't bother me, but it really bothered me and made me violated that they never gave me an option. I guess he did me a favor though in giving me a final push to find another urologist.

Dr. Middleton was very knowledgeable about my cancer. He told me what stage and how many lesions I had and what stage I would be in when I was operated in. He was right on.My surgery went well and I have been cancer free for three years.I would recommend him highly. Because he has so many patients needing to see him, waiting at his office is understandable.
