Excellent doctor Spero has looked after a number of times for various issues including recovery from a brain tumour. The gold coast has an over supply of doctors who most are hopeless Spero is not one of them just brilliant

Dr Negus is an excellent communicator and most of all I trust him implicitly.I have been with him for a number of years managing my Type 2 diabetes and I have had had good results.I have my next visit with him in around an hours time at Pindara and always welcome his counsel.

"This is the smartest Dr". A Cardiologist I saw referred to Dr Negas this way. He doesn't over prescribe and always mentions any side effects or risks when I ask about treatment. He has given me sensible advice on women's health matters and has been a tremendous help with thyroid disease. He always knows the current information and risks etc. I trust this Dr which is rare.

A little over two years ago I had a seizure for the first time in my life, it turned out to be an extremely rare form of hypoglycemia, not related to diabetes. Dr Negas was the consulting physician that first saw me in the hospital. I have a feeling he knew what it was that I had without testing, but arranged them, just the same to confirm his thoughts. The treatment was not straight forward (I will say again...my condition is beyond rare), and actually we tried a lot of options. Until I no longer have the hypo's and life is back on track. He is a strong minded and very very intelligent practitioner, who doesn't sugar coat things, which I actually find quite refreshing. I honestly think that had Dr Negas not been on that weekend when I was taken to the hospital that I would not be here any longer. I owe him a lot.

Dr Negus has cared for me 3 times in Pindara Hospital & each time I have four him very caring & helpful in all aspects. He organised many blood tests & referred me to other helpful specialists.

Dr Negus was medicating me without doing all the blood tests he should have. I have Graves’ disease, he was only testing me for TSH. Not other thyroid hormones, nor antibodies. I questioned it, and asked to be tested for the rest, it turned out my antibodies were gone, and my levels were fine. The meds were hurting my liver and white blood cells, so his other option was to swallow radioactive iodine. He said we don’t need our thyroid.
Everything I’ve ever read says thyroid regulates everything in our body, without it we would be seriously unwell. I feel this was a very ignorant opinion, and one that I didn’t take seriously. I’m managing with natural therapies, and I’m well 90%of the time, unless I have stimulants or gluten. For me, that is not a big deal, compare to what I dealt with when I was diagnosed. I have met people who had radioactive iodine, they are both regretful they took it. They will never be the same
