Dr Sian Hebron is the first Dr I have visited on the coast that actually understands mental health And her knowledge around mental health is superior. I've lived on the coast for 5 years and have seen many GP'S that have been judemental and rude to the point where I was in tears. One particular GP kept referring me back to my shrink to talk him but a 15 min consult with him is $170 upfront and a month or even longer waiting period if it's not urgent a simple request for an anti depressent is not urgent in my eyes when a GP has the right to prescribe it.. I don't understand when he was linked in to my shrink and could have send him a message via computer asked if it was ok to prescribe the simple anti depressent and I could have rebooked a few days later to pick up script... if he was unsure why is it my responsibility as a patient to chase things up like a simple anti depressent scrip..plus you can't just stop anti depressents if you run out can be very dangerous. I don't understand some people... could understand the carry on if I was asking for pills for my ADHD but a simple anti depressent that is very common. Was ridiculous. Also had infection got given cream 4 x. in total from same GP. This is when I found Dr Sian She put me on anti biotiots straight away And talked to me about my mental health with no judgement.... and infection cleared up. She understands women's health as well. Kind and caring as well.

Disappointing doctor. I felt she was uninterested in my overall health, made minimal effort with my health issues and in general seemed to be just going through the motions of 'patient in, patient out'. She incorrectly prescribed a dosage of my medication and missed a significant injury. I think she's a nice person and probably a good doctor but needs to establish better rapport with patients and make more effort to really listen to them so her patients feel that she's 'got their back'. I left this doctor because I felt she didn't.
